is the DVC contract written up w/total user yrs?

DH was just telling me that everyone joining DVC has 42yrs no matter what their beginning contract date. Says it says so in the contract. We bought Nov 01 so it may in fact say 42yrs (for us)
I told him the 1st set of contracts has ending date of 2042, Saratoga started with 2057(?)
so I need to prove to him that the 1st set was in fact ending 2042 no matter when people signed their contracts
is there a link? cos he wont take the word of the DIS - thank you

(although when we just bought a washing machine he said "friends" referred a brand to us)

I bougt at OKW and it ends in 2042. SSR ends in 2057.

I believe it's Jan 31, 2042 and Jan 31, 2054

The final dates are January 31, 2042 (for OKW, VB, HH, BWV, VWL and BCV )and January 31, 2054 for SSR. This is clearly stated in our POS documents under "Memorandum of Ground Lease". The land is owned by LBVC (Lake Buena Vista Communities, INC) and that entity has leased the land to DVD (Disney Vacation Development) until January 31, 2042 and January 31, 2054 respectively. On those dates, the land (and any buildings on that land) will revert to LBVC.

OKW is the only resort to actually have a full 50 years for it's early buyers (the resort opened in October, 1991). All others had fewer years right from the begining with BCV having the shortest contract length for it's owners.

SSR had the second longest possible term (just under 50 years) since it opened in May, 2004 - but still ends on January 31, 2054.

Nowhere in the documents is there mention of a specific number of years of ownership - only the expriation date.

...and you paid a LOT more in 2001 than you would have in 1991.
