We are a family of 5 driving to WDW this July . I was wondering if the dining plan was worth the cost? I will have my car and we are in a family suite so I can have breakfast in the room. We do eat lunch and dinner in the parks and would like to see if the plan is worth the money . Any thoughts.. Where can I find the most information on the plan ? :confused3

This is just my opinion, but I do think it is worth it. My husband and I were down in January by ourselves, eating in the restaurants in EPCOT averaged $100 for the two of us, and that was without alcoholic drinks. We would have had lunch at a counter service earlier in the day and that would have averaged about $18 for the two of us.The DDP is I believe $39 for adults and $10 for kids. We are going next January with our kids and the kids alone is soooo worth it. You can pay $7.00 for chicken fingers at both meals and that for them is already a savings.

first, look at the 2008 DDP sticky

there is no right or wrong, it depends upon the ages of ppl in your family, your eating habits (do you eat a lighter CS, & a TS every day), where and what your family would be likely to eat, your "touring style" (would your family want to have to stop going on attractions to eat every day).

personally, we find it worthwhile for two adults, but we are very relaxed on our vacations, & tend to eat at what would normally be the higher priced restaurants anyway. the DDP saves us about $40-50 a night.

the only way to find if it "fits" you is to crunch the numbers using the menus on the DIS homepage or at www.wdwig.com. remember that tax is included in the DDP, & that tip is added on whether paying OOP or on DDP.
