Is the Cheesecake Factory worth it?

We're heading to Nashville next week, and I was kind of thinking about trying the Cheesecake Factory while we're there. I've never been to one before, and they have such an extensive menu, I thought it might be a good place to try. Opinions?

I think it's good. The menu is a book (way too many choices!) and the portions are HUGE. We usually split and often still have leftovers, esp if we order pasta.

I wouldn't go out of my way but I know it's a "safe" choice when traveling someplace.

Save room for cheesecake!

It's quite good. Lots of options, and huge portions. We usually don't have any room left for cheesecake, which is too bad because it's delish. You can always get it to go.
Have a great time!

My family loves The Cheescake Factory! Everyone can find something to eat there and the portions are so big that we usually take home leftovers. I love the Boston House Salad (appetizer portion) followed by the Miso Salmon. All of their meal-sized salads are wonderful. I also love the orange chicken. My husband usually gets a steak and my son is in love with the cheese pizza. My older son can make a meal out of the wheat bread and butter. Spend a little time going over the menu online before you go so you don't feel rushed when it comes time to order.

We go there quite frequently when we have friends or family visiting and we are unsure of their taste in restaurants. As PP said, the menu has something for everyone. My husband and I usually split the sweet corn tamale cakes for an app, and the bang bang chicken and shrimp (huge portion.)

Just had dinner there Saturday with DH. Two cocktails, appetizer, entrees and one slice of cheesecake - 70.00 plus tip.

Totally worth it. Everything was delicious!!! Stuffed mushrooms and chicken madeira are especially good. Portions are huge, enough to take home & have for lunch the next day. Cheesecake is amazing (and filling). The drinks were pricey but also huge. Great mojitos!!

The menu is extensive. Something for everyone. :)

I love the sweet corn tamale cakes, but the entrees I've selected have just been ok. I think I'd built it up too much in my mind. I had a chicken and pasta dish there once and I swear that they just put whatever they had in the kitchen in it, regardless of the menu description. The cheesecakes are decent -- and huge. My favorite is the lemon raspberry cream. A while back I decided to change up and had their red velvet cheesecake and honestly, I thought it was a little bland.

I do love the atmosphere with its warm color palette though.

I DEFINITELY think it's worth it. As others have mentioned, there are MANY options to choose from (which makes it awesome for picky eaters or if you don't like a particular food type...bad if you're indecisive about what to eat ) and the portions are huge. I always wind up getting two meals out of mine, which makes it more "affordable." If you don't have room for cheesecake, order a slice to go. They are absolutely delicious!

LOVE the Cheesecake Factory! You should definitely go...and try the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake!! It's Awesome!

We love it there!! I get the teriyaki chicken and always sub the rice for mashed potatoes. The buffalo blasts are delicious too. My DH always gets the orange chicken and loves it. Portions are definitely big enough to share!

Five of us went for brunch Sunday. Three breakfasts (men) and two lunches (women) came to $65. The men all upheld their memberships in the Clean Plate Club :teeth: despite the serving sizes; can't speak for the other woman, but my Cobb Salad - which I tried to order several days earlier when I made the reservation (and no, reservations aren't required and yes, my siblings made fun of me) got me through two more meals at home.

None of us had room, but bland or not, the Red Velvet cheesecake LOOKED great!

MMMMM.....:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
I love the Cheesecake Factory! They do have a book for a menu and everything in the world to choose from. I love their Mahi-Mahi dish and the burgers are really really good!! The pumpernickle bread they bring out is so soft and yummy!!! But the cheesecakes can not be missed~AMAZING;)
I love the the Chocolate Tuxedo cheesecake and the Fresh Bannana Cream Cheesecake best!!!!! Man now you got me all hungry:rotfl:

I used to LOVE it but have had two quite bad experiences lately, but that's with every restaurant. Some good some bad. The company flipped over backwards to make it right, though, so I still recommend them... even though I doubt I'll ever go back...:scared:

Plate sharing is the only way I can go. The portions are ginourmous.

Whether or not it is worth it will depend on your tastebuds and your pocketbook.
