Is the Cheesecake Factory worth it?

The Lemoncello Cream Torte is close to being the end all of desserts IMO.
Its..a..w..e..s..o..m..e!

We don't go there often, but really like their food!! My favorites are the Orange Chicken and the Chicken Burrito. The Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake is heaven on a plate!!!

I love their grilled cheese. Portions are huge.

Do not miss out on the cheesecake!!!

I think it's ok. The cheesecake is the best part of the menu so I certainly would not pick it for a special occasion.

It's decent as far as chain restaurants go. Generally if we can get seated within 20 mins we'll go but I probably would not wait 1 hour to eat there.

Lately we eat at a better restaurant and stop by cheesecake factory for dessert to go.

It's one of my favorite restaurants. I usually get the Shrimp Scampi, sometimes the Chicken Madeira. I only ever plan to eat half my entree. I take the other half home for lunch the next day. Everything DH and I have ordered has reheated well in the microwave too. We also get our cheesecake slices "to go" because even only eating half an entree, we are too full. We also order the calamari appetizer. CF is not the place I would expect to find good calamari, but I have had worse at fancy seafood places. We've probably ordered it a dozen times, in 3 different states, and it's never been tough or rubbery.

Ehhh It's ok. However, Nashville has so many other great foods and restaurant choices why go to a run of a mill Cheesecake Factory?

I may have misunderstood...but I think there is no Cheesecake Factory where she lives.

I agree, when I go out of town, I definitely do NOT want to go to a chain. Yet, when we went to Vancouver there was a chain steakhouse called "The Keg" and since I cannot eat there when at home (or anywhere in the States, I think) we wanted to try it!

Same with Roy's...in Orlando on Sand Lake Road. I highly recommend this place! It is owned by Outback/Bonefish etc (forgot the corporate name) but it is more upscale. We love to eat there when in Orlando, because there is not a Roy's in SE Fla.

I can't help but wonder what all these "other great foods and restaurant choices that Nashville has" are.

My whole family loves it. DH and I always split an entree and DD7 gets a kids meal so that we can all get cheesecake. DH loves the Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple, I love the Caramel Pecan Turtle or the Chocolate Coconut Creme. DD7 loves the Outrageous Chocolate Cake. The desserts for TO DIE FOR!!

Maybe the Cheesecake Factory restaurants in other parts of the country are better than ours, but I've tried ours a few times and ordered different things each time and was disappointed. I do love the cheesecake though!:lovestruc

The pasta is really good, salads are the largest I have seen in any restaruant. The cheesecake is the draw though.

Our closest one is 60 miles away and we make the roadtrip about every 6 weeks to eat there.

Food's just okay. Lots of it though. Some people, however equate lots of food as being good.

Okay, so what would you suggest. Like I said, I've never been to one, and Nashville is the closest one to us, so I thought me might try it.

I've already got Monelle's on my list of places to try while we're in town. I have a friend in town who has suggested it. I thought about trying the Pancake Pantry also.

I've never gone and not had to wait, but the food is worth it. I love the crusted chicken romano and the godiva brownie sundae. Yum!! We go maybe once a year. The only thing I've had there that I didn't like was the quesadillas-- not so great. I think they put peppers in them and I'm not a fan of slimy, cooked green peppers.

Yes it is worth it. The food is good and the cheesecakes are to die for. I recommend any cheesecake that has chocolate in it.

We LOVE Cheesecake Factory!

Their iced tea is deeeee-lish! The food & cheesecake are wonderful. And as others have posted the portions are HUGE! The menu is literally a book. I read somewhere that the guy that started the CF intentionally made the portions so large so other people at your table can taste your food. Then they'll be like "Ooo, that is SO good! I'm getting that the next time I eat here.". Good marketing!

I suggest you get there early. The place fills up fast and there is always a line.

Mmmmm....I want to go eat there now!

I love Cheesecake Factory. We were there yesterday. My favorite dish is the Crispy Chicken Costelleta. The Banana Cream Cheesecake is my favorite! I always get it to go and eat it later.

When you talk about Cheesecake Factory you NEED pictures! I think Cheesecake factory is pretty great for what it is. Its not fine dining but its extremely fun and tasty! A Well Mannered Dirty Martini, Thai Lettuce Wraps and a slice of banana Cheesecake and I am set!:cool1:
