Should we bring our sweatshirts and warm pajamas on the train? I know when we get to Florida, it will be 90!!!!
Thanks.

We traveled on the Autotrain in Early January and I don't remember it being cold on the train. I would dress warmly for sleeping though. I think they may have also provided a light blanket to cover with.

both times I was quite warm at night in a roomette - uncomfortably warm

Thank you!! We have a family bedroom. I hope it's not too hot. Are there outlets? I wonder if I can plug in my small fan if it gets too hot.

Always warm. We're doing our 5th round trip in two weeks and I've never been cold.

Yes, there is an outlet in every room (and at every seat in Coach).

I would pack a light blanket as the blankets they give you on the train are really small and kind of scratchy.

I ended up propping my door open a couple of inches to try and get more air circulation as it seemed to be cooler in the corridor then it was in my roomette.

BTW my two experiences WERE summer time.

I have slept in the upper bunk of a roomette and been cool one time and warm one time, both mid-summer. I use my CPAP which amounts to a small fan. Yes, there are outlets.

We had the family bedroom and thought it was a little on the warm side as well. Had the seats once:scared1:and that temperature was a little on the cool side.
