We are going to wdw in about 10 days and was wondering if T-Rex is taking any ADR's as of yet for end of nov, beginning of dec?

How are the lines now to eat there?

thanks

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it. The restaurant is huge and I don't think you will have a problem getting in! When you do go, take a walk around the entire thing, the themed rooms are excellent. Enjoy!

I understand they are starting to take reservations for January. Does anyone know the phone number to call...or is it the same 407-WDW-DINE?

Theyre not TAKING reservations until january, not FOR january, and I believe its a separate phone number

Halloween night.........crowds were ridiculous, build a Dino, forgetabout it. seriously we had a hard time getting into the gift shop!

I've been wondering the same question. We hope to be in DD on December 27 and eat dinner there.

Is the restaurant set up like Rainforest Cafe, where the gift shop is separate (outside) from the restaurant? I figure we can at least go there to buy stuff if the line to eat is too long.

I was there Friday afternoon at about 3:00, 3:30ish and there was hardly anyone there!

Just a warning though, IT IS LOUD!!!!!!

I did a quick walk-through and there was a meteor shower going and dinos roaring. I waited until the meteor shower was over to see what the noise level was like, and it was still loud!!!

If i'm ever crazy enough to eat there, I would bring earplugs.

American Fare food? Dinosaur themed I am guessing? What did they replace to put in this restaurant?

We ate there on our first day of our vacation, which was a Wednesday afternoon around 4pm. The crowd wasn't bad at all at that time of day, but by the time we got out, the line was out the door. So if you can get there at an off time, you'd do better, I'm sure.

The gift shop and build a dino is adjacent to the restaurant and you use the same entrance for both. We didn't even go into the shops because they were mobbed even though the restaurant wasn't yet. But it looked like fun.

I agree, it is a VERY LOUD restaurant. My daughters were covering their ears for the first 5 minutes or so until they got used to it. But on our last day we went to Planet Hollywood and that was MUCH LOUDER, which was hard to believe. But the two had very different kinds of noise, of course. So it depends one what you think you could handle. We didn't mind the dinosaur noises and the meteor showers, but Planet Hollywood's loud music had us crazy by the time we left.

The food was good. I think my kids got pizza and dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets. I think my husband got ribs and I got a burger of some sort. If you have room for it, don't miss the Chocolate Extinction for dessert. It was so neat I had to take pictures of it and it's enough to feed a family of 4 at least (we had a family of 5 and we couldn't finish it!).

It is well worth the money to eat there. As somone else said, be sure to check out all the rooms while you're there. This one was even really amazing for me and DH, not just the kids.:thumbsup2

We plan on eating a late-ish dinner at T-Rex on the night we arrive on Satuday, December 13. My question is, if there is a wait, do they just put your name on a list or do they give you one of the beeper things that calls you back when your table is ready? I'm asking this because I know that the Lego store and World of Disney are right next door and wondered if we can shop at those two places while we are waiting for our table, or will one of us need to stay there and wait for the table.
