Hi,
My boyfriend and I are still deciding when to visit WDW for the second time (my third time by the way:D ).
Now we are thinking about the last 2 weeks of september...
Only we don't really know how bad the heat is that time.
Will we barely survive it or will we enjoy it?
We love the relaxed type of celebrating vacations, so we don't expect to do everything at a time.
Oh and we have 2 weeks to stay.
I think we will be okay and you?
:wave2:

We usually go to either WDW or US/IOA in Sept. or Oct. because the weather is great! It's still warm enough for swimming and wearing shorts, but not oppressively hot. There are still afternoon pop up rain showers, however, so be prepared!

Last year I went from Sept 20th to the 25th, the weather was beautiful, about 85 or so. It was a bit humid, not as bad as the summer, but humid none the less. It did not rain at all while I was there. A few years ago we went the end of Sept into Oct. and again the weather was in the eighties, but we had some heavy afternoon showers a few days.
It really is a good time of year to go, nice weather and not crowded.

The lack of crowds offsets the heat and humidity. We have been twice in late Sept and it was HOT and HUMID!! I can't handle the heat but with low attendance I was able to conquer it and of course have a GREAT time.I would definetly do it.

I guess I'm used to the humidity, since we live so close, and have tons of water and marshland around here....I didn't find it that humid at all;) , but if you're not used to it, definately stay hydrated and try to take it slow....My DH is from Nebraska, he's lived here for 10+ years now, and he's still not used to it!

Ditto for early September. Weekdays were ususally line-free. It's great to walk on to Dumbo, and well worth the heat.

Thank you:wave:
I'll think we are seriously considering to go in September now.
Even with the knowledge that month is known as hurricaneseason:D
Here in Europe we aren't familiar with weathertypes like in Florida,
so it will be a lesson anyway.
Now we are waiting for a nice discount for the hotels, airlinetickets are allready soo expensive:mad:
Bye, bye:earsgirl:

We've gone in September routinely since 1975!! It is almost the perfect time to go--it's hot, of course, but not as hot as many of the other months. It is, essentialy, quite "bearable":D :D
You are correct that it is hurricane season, and there is simply no way to predict that sort of thing very far in advance. But I can tell you that we've only had a problem with a hurricane once in all of our trips. But that wasn't in Florida--it was in Pennsylvania!!! A hurricane hit way up here the night before we were due to leave for Florida!!

First of all... its never too hot/humid/rainy/cold/etc. to be at Disney. It is always just right and better than being home and at work.

Most attractions are indoors (except AK) so you will be in and out of AC to cool off. Drink plenty of fluids (not soft drinks, sugary drinks, coffee).

As for hurricanes, even if one does affect you (not very likely), hurricanes don't ususally linger (unless it is one of those male named storms that just wander around and refuse to ask for directions).

I choose heat and humidity, even rain-over crowds anytime.

We've gone a few times at the end of August and it was great.

We have visited WDW in january/february as well. So I really cannot tell what is better for us crowds or heat, because there weren't any crowds and the weather was okay for us, no snow :)
But we went to Disneyland Paris the day the Disney Studios opened there so I have experienced serious crowds in Europe!
I am really looking forward to our next trip to WDW and I am happy to read that hurricanes are rare:teeth:

We have been at the end of Sept twice and both times it was still pretty hot, high 80's and into the 90's some days. But due to the low crowds you can take extr a break times in cool places and not miss any attractions. Lots of attractions were walk on or with very little wait, its a great time to go!
