I have a lunch reservation for the day we arrive and was thinking if it would be too much for the kids since we would have been up from 3:30 am..... Is this a must for children or are they a little young ?

My girls are 6 & 8 and we will be going to the Sci Fi Dine In for dinner on our arrival day.
They are excited after seeing photos online.

My kids love it because of the cars. I think the movie clips will probably go over your 5 year old's head, but the atmosphere is neat.

That said, I am not sure it is worth being tired and cranky. I'd opt for resting.

Thanks for the replies. I have changed the reservation to Lunch at Chef Mickey - that way they should be more excited to see the characters and not too grumpy. I was not able to get another reservation for Sci Fi but will have to add it on the list for another visit...good excuse to go back!

My daughter loves it. :yay: We first ate there when she was 5 years old and she is now 11. She always wants to eat there each time we go back. They have the best Milkshakes.:)

My boys always loved it there. But we don't go anymore cause the menu isn't the same anymore. But that's my opinion about the menu. I am sure your kids would love it.

Brought my ds and dd when they were 5 and 6. They loved it and dd was not scared at all and she is a bit of a chicken, too! The atomosphere is so cool!

Our small boys love it there...We have been three times with them and they were never older than five...My youngest was 2 1/2 the first time we went...That first time I also had my 8 year old nephew with me...All three boys enjoyed it...The movies were not scarey to them and the four year old (at the time) gets scared quickly...All three sat so quiet and still as they watched the old movies...It was not creapy at all...Both our boys requested that we go back when we went on our next two trips...The five year old just asked to go back there again...We would like to do something different next time so we said no...But based on all of this....

I would say YES, it is a must....At least once...For the experience it is worth going...And for what it is worth, we like the food...It is simple, like us ;)
