Is Room Cleaning Worth it?

If you do not pay for Mousekeeping how often do they come in to clean or give you fresh towels?

Can you ask the front desk for more towels if needed?

Nevermind. I just looked at the post above me and it answered my question. :-)

As stated above, you will get trash and towel service on the 4th day from check in. If you are staying more than a week, you will get a full cleaning(linen change, beds made etc) on day 4 and a trash and towel on day 8. Since you have a laundry inside the unit, there is no real reason to need extra towels unless you don't feel you can wash them yourself. You can ask for a towel pack, and there will be a charge for that.

We paid for Mousekeeping the very first time we used our DVC. Could not think about coming home and not having the room all done up. Well, that was the first and last time. We can't justify the prices for what is done plus leaving a tip everyday. We appreciate the 4th T&T and the 7th cleaning day but that is all that is really needed. No big deal to make a bed and staighten up - we don't spend that much time in our room anyway.

We just did it once on our 14-day stay in February, and I'll never do it again. The only reason we did it was because my mom got sick and the rest of us felt a little queasy, so I really wanted the bathrooms cleaned well. Didn't happen. They didn't even vacuum the bathrooms, let alone mop the floors or really clean the toilets. I was so disgusted. I called HK, and they sent a maid over who sprayed some bleach stuff on the floors and wiped it up with a towel using her feet. I was not happy, but not feeling well enough to do anything more about it, and at least the floors were bleached. And I paid $30 for each of our studios. I was thankful for the clean sheets and stuff, but they did not help me out at all. I still had to clean the rest of it myself. :sad2:

We usually stay 12 - 14 nights 2 bedroom. We have paid for the full cleaning on a few occasions.

1) A change over in guests and I wanted the new guests to start out fresh.

2) Just because :confused3

Is Room Cleaning Worth it? Its not like a cleaning you would get between guests checking out/in! For the fee it should be but it is not :headache:

The kitchen floor has never been mopped, bathrooms dont get as clean as they should.......etc

I would not pay for it daily, but if you think you woul dwant a cleaning just call the night before.

Nope, not worth it!

I really like not having the maids roust me out of bed in the morning. That's NO vacation. And the villa is really not that hard to pick up after. You just don't have the volume of "stuff" like you have at home.'
Ditto! :thumbsup2 I can honestly say that I enjoy NOT having mousekeeping.

I definitely agree with everybody...not worth the money. Don't want strange people going over my things. I think the T&T and full cleaning is more than enough....I like the privacy during vacation.
