Is rental car supply increasing?

There have been several threads discussing the shortage of rental cars in Orlando in September and early October due to one way rentals related to the hurricanes. I visited myself on October 7 and found only a couple of cars on National's lot.

I am planning to visit again arriving on Dec 25. We will be staying at both WDW and Universal so a rental car is essential. I am concerned that I will get stuck without a car.

Has anyone rented from the major rental companies in the last couple of weeks? Is the supply increasing?

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding alternate travel arrangements from WDW to Universal if I get stuck without a car?

At Christmas you will run into the supply and demand problem. It could depend on the time of day you arrive the supply of cars available.

Things have calmed down here so I am sure the supply of cars is increasing and since the weather is turning cold the demand is higher so the car agencies bring in more cars.

well i had that fear too so i made 2 reservations at two diff companies, one for backup just in case
