We are at Ft. Wilderness cabins, we were able to pull a paper FP earlier this week. We only did this once, the rest of the time we did not need FP.

Regular fast pass or FP- is still around. If staying @ pop u r strictly on the fast pass + system. Meaning no paper fast passes. Other resorts r switching over but time table has not been determined.

So if I am at POFQ at the end of Jan there is chance we might be able to use FP+ and FP- :lmao:

Is this right?

to be fair it depends on your ticket type - we stayed at AS Music recently (Nov 13th - 18th) and were given KTTW cards but never used them. We did use our APs to pull 3 legacy FP while we were there (the rest of the time we used the FP+ that we had already booked).

So IF we (or any other AP holders) were staying at POP with no KTTW card (this week) we could still use our APs to pull paper FP.

We got the invitation to try the new FP+ system today. Not sure if we should take it since our trip is in two weeks. Would there be any FP reservations left? Not sure if we will get any dining reservations at all with this short turnaround, but who says no to a surprise trip?

You might as well book yourself FP+ ..... at this point being able to use FP- is kind of up to Disney, not you, regardless of your FP+ decision. If Disney says you can use both then you can double-dip and you'll have more choices than usual. Or, Disney might say you can only use FP+ and you'll miss out if you wait until check-in day to book them.

We have magic bands and were able to pull FP- with our KTTW yesterday at MK.

Go ahead and book them. We just got back last night from a stay at FW and used both FP options. It was extremely helpful! At first, the FP+ system was frustrating as there were some glitches, but being able to use FP- made up for it. And as for the people who call this "double dipping", this is not breaking any rule or being greedy. We were speaking with some of the cast members who run the FP+ kiosks, b/c the app was so bad and they want to know what the FP+ users are doing and if they are still depending on the paper FPs. I know speaking with cast members is about as dependable as the rumor board around here, but from the different people we spoke to all giving us the same information (and you know how rare that is) I would be confident the the paper fast passes will still be around for your January vacation. They still have a lot to fix before FP+ is where they need it to be to be the only option.

Thanks everyone!

Now a new question. We have multi day non expiring park hoppers that we have used part of already and will not use up on this weekend trip. Can we load those, which were purchased from undercover tourist, on the magic band and not lose our remaining days?

Also, if we want to go to the Mickey's party at MK on December 6th, should we prepurchase those tickets? That's the same day we fly in. I hope the weather is good (not raining) if we prepurchase.
