Okay, sorry, back to the topic...
I can relate as well in Baton Rouge. The waiting lists for decent apartments ar so long, they don't even write names down anymore.
Heard this week that our city has the 5th hottest real estate market in the country. I used to think it would be a temporary phenomenon. Lately I am not so sure. Too many missteps and missed opportunities by fed, state and local leaders. I think it will be at least 10 years before anyone claims things are back to normal. Even at that it will be a new normal. Baton Rouge stands to gain and lose from all of this.
I am not a B.R. native but if I was I would not be happy with the shape of things to come.
