I really love going to WDW and can only afford to go every few years but I usually go for 10 days-14 days. I really enjoy planning everything from which resort(s) to stay at to ADR'S to which park I am going to each day.I love reading the Disboard and getting everyones opinions and advice. As much as I really enjoy the actual trip it seems once its time to go on the trip the time flys by and then I don't have anything to plan or look forward to anymore.I really think planning the trip is half the fun and I am wondering if I am crazy or if anyone else feels that way? :confused3

I agree with you 100 percent. I have so much fun reading and planning for months before I go. I have ever restaurant planned, which park which day and everything else all figured out. Then I go and my trip goes by so fast that when I get home I have to start planning for another one just to have something fun to do.

planning is half the fun of going to Disney!! Coming on these boards with everyone means sharing a special bond because we are all disneyholics, well most of us anyways, lol. What have you planned so far??

Yipee,I am not alone!!!!! Thanks for the responses. What have I planned so far??? Thanks for asking (LOL).So far I have my resorts booked. I am resort hopping(starting off at HRH at Universal ) then I am doing 3 nights each at AKL (Sunrise Safari 12/09),POLY,AND WL. I couldn't decide so I am doing all 3. It is still too early to book my ADR'S but they are they are going to be. 1. JIKO
2. BOMA
3. LE CELLIER
4. KONA CAFE
5. WOLFGANG PUCKS CAFE
6. OHANA
7. CITRICOS
8. BROWN DERBY
9. ARTIST POINT
10. CALIFORNIA GRILL
11. NARCOOSE'S
12.? BLUEZOO
I am an admitted Signature restaurant snob, some meals will be for lunch.
My plans may change when the Candlelight Processional Guest speakers are announced around August.I really enjoy that show and usually go atleast once or twice. I will be ordering my MVMCP ticket tomorrow(yipee) for 12/02/07 and I also plan on going to Cirq Du Soleil on 12/13/07 but I have to wait until June to order that ticket also.I know probaly more info than you wanted:rotfl: but thanks for listening!!!! I love this board because we share a love for WDW and are willing to share advice and information. My DH has no interest in going to WDW ,so I have no one to share my obsession with except my wonderful fellow Dis Board friends. I spend more hours on this website than I care to admit of course I have no life.:rotfl: Are you guys planning any trips you want to share?
Thanks for listening!!!!:)

I'm with those who enjoying planning a WDW trip almost as much as the trip itself. What I like is tailoring each trip to the participants. I.e., my March trip with 4 adults and 2 teens is a completely different trip than my next planned late Sept/early Oct trip with 4 adults and a 4 and 1 yr old. Mealtimes needs are different, attractions which are "MUST DO's" are different. And I like taking on the role as planner and census taker <G>. The DISboard is an invaluable planning tool. I find myself constantly referring folks to it who are thinking about a trip to the "happiest place on earth". The things that are reported on the DISboards are soooo informative. I appreciate everyone who takes times to contribute.
Ye Gads!! Am I feeling the love or what? <veg>

I am addicted to planning our trips. I even try to talk family and friends into going to WDW in hopes of helping them. I LOVE planning! I think that may be the reason why I rearrange ADRs and resorts. It's almost a letdown when everything is planned. We leave in 125 days and DH as well as the DDs are sick of talking about the trip. So that leaves the wonderful folks here on the DIS!

I love to plan our trip....although it drives my husband CRAZY when I tell him fill him in on all of the details:rotfl2: I am not sure WHAT his problem is:confused3

I am so glad to hear that I am not the only crazy person here.LOL LOL!!! I am driving everyone nuts about this trip, I spend more time at work talking about Disney than I do about work. But I think disney is a once in a lifetime trip! wheter it is your first trip or your 30th each trip is special for one reason or another. This will by mine, DH, DB and DSIL's 2nd trip, but the first for DN (4) and DN (9 months on trip). Our next trip will be special because it will be DN "first" trip. I just want this trip to be the best that it can be and if it meants two hours a night on this board, well than, I guess that I can make the sacirfice. I can't wait untill we go, 19 weeks, 4 days and 10 hours! WOO HOO!!! Okay, yeah, I have gone totally disney crazy, but I love it and I know we will have a fab. trip, cause its Disney and how could it be bad?? Happy Planning all!!

What will we do when the trip is over?????????????

Why start planning the next trip, of course!!!!!!!!!!

I love planning!:thumbsup2
My family thinks I am nuts but they are glad they dont have to do it!:lmao: They like just going and having it all mapped out for them:grouphug:

Planning the trip is a lot of FUN for me... and thankfully we have these great websites like this one to share ideas.
My next trip is less than 2 months out and everything is planned, the only thing left to obssess over is the weather !!

Only 54 days until I'm back at WDW

I have been planing this trip since we left our last in June of 06. And tonight I think I may have realized I may have a problem with Obsessive Disney Trip Planning, or ODTP. You see our trip is scheduled for November and I am staying up until Disney post the park calenders for November, so I can starting mapping out which days we will be at what parks based on EMH and individual park hours. Oh well they are worse things to be addicted to.

Oh no not ODTP:rotfl: I think I have it too.....They should be announcing November hours soon shouldn't they?I think it's okay to go to sleep you just have to dream Disney!!!!!!!Thank you everyone for the great responses. I know everyone here really appreciates WDW as much as I do. My friends and co-workers always wonder why I keep going back to WDW but you guys know.....it is the happiest place in the world.:yay:

Whew! Finally a name for what I have ODTP!!:lmao: :lmao:

I think I have you all beat! The fun of going is truly the planning! Not only do I plan which restaurants for every meal, but also use Allears.com to PICK what we are going to eat!!!! I make detailed lists of what to see in which order! Of course, we are free to change whatever we want when we get there, but it is wonderful to have a plan to follow.

The teachers that I work with call me the Disney Nazi. My mother in law really, really wanted to go with us in February, but I know she couldn't live with my organizational skills! She is a fly by the seat of her pants kind of person and would freak out when she saw my list!

Thanks everyone for all the great responses.I am there with you checking the All Ears menus.I want to make sure the restaurants I choose have what I want and since I am on DDP I do the math to make sure the signature restaurants I choose are worth 2 credits. I will actually pay OOP for a couple of signature restaurants I want to go to because in my opinion they are not worth 2 credits.
Thanks again :)
