Is photo pass worth it?

Instead of PhotoPass we went to the Beach Club and did a photo shoot with a photographer. One of the best things I have ever done at WDW. You can call Disney and ask about it. They do it at a few resorts.

I didn't feel it was worth it. And sometimes there weren't even any photopass photographers around to take pictures.

It is definitely worth it to me, but we are character hunters. It's so nice to be able to get in there and interact with the characters and know we're going to get a ton of non-posed and posed shots. Yes, I could give them my camera, but it's worth a little bit of money (when compared to the over-all cost of a WDW vacation) to just let them scan my card and then go interact with the characters.

Can you copy the photos from your PP+ CDs to any or all of your computers to use as you want to? Or to upload and print at Walgreen's or similar? I'm thinking about buying it for my November trip but I don't want to if I can't do those things.

Yes you can copy your pics from both the regular PP and PP+ CDs. We have done both and much prefer the PP+ for how much more you get for the price. You can also upload to wherever you want to and print out those photos. I have printed them out at Sams Club as well as through Shutterfly and Snapfish.

No. Photo quality has declined and the photographers seem amateur and not as interested.

We always get photopass+ spending the extra money is worth it for the ride pics, plus I can at least be in a few of the pictures!

Thank you! I think I will go ahead and try it this time.

We used Photo Pass recently for just a few photos and I was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED by the poor quality photos we received.

While the pictures were well taken, they were printed out digitally and the quality was just cheap photo printer digital prints, not the nice glossy photos I've come to expect (and receive on the Disney cruises).

For the amount they charge for prints, I was appalled. Luckily, my daughter is a DCP Cast Member and was able to get them at a huge discount but, if I had been paying full price, I would have sent them back.

But I was wondering -- did we receive poor quality prints BECAUSE she is a Cast Member? Or does everyone get these. Honestly, they were 5x7" prints on larger sheets of paper, with lots of white space around them. Very amateurish printing.

For us it's worth it. My older daughter loves meeting the characters so we get a lot if photos. And unfortunately my husband isn't the best photographer. Many of his pictures have the character's head cut off or they are really off center and cut off on the side.

We have only done PP+ once at DL. So it was cheaper than DW. We got so many excellent pictures over our 6 days at DLR. We also went at a slow time so getting photographers was easy. We are going again next month and I have already received our PP+ for this trip. But honestly if it's 1/2 as good as last time I will be happy. $70 bought us a ton of great pics, and a handful of *excellent* family pics that we couldn't have gotten on our own. But I could see if it were busy, and add some bad luck....the outcome wouldn't have been so nice.

We got the PP at Disneyworld at the prepurchase price. Alot of the photos were repetitive but worth it for us both to be in the photo.
