Is Our Grass Dead?

My DH accidentally "yellowed" (we don't know if it is dead or not yet...) a small patch of our front yard when washing his car the other day.

He thinks it was from the soapy water, but I think he may have had things sitting/laying on the grass while he vacuumed. (It was a hot, almost 90 degree day.)

This happened on Friday, and the grass is yellowish-green, but not crunchy... it's "damp" to the touch like regular green grass.

He will NOT SHUT UP about his grass, and I am tired of hearing about it.

If it were totally, 100% dead, wouldn't it be dry and come right out of the ground with minimal effort? I don't think he killed the grass, but rather, scorched the top of it. (I hope anyways... :headache:)

Anyone know grass?

It takes a LOT to kill grass. I would guess that it is more burned then dead. Just keep watering and it will come back in a few weeks.

Yes it is probably from things laying on the grass. It is burn. Here is my remedy since I just did it. If you have any Miracle grow for plants mix it up and put it on the area.

Well, I just so happen to have some, and I need to mix up a batch for the flowers, so this is perfect timing! :rotfl: Thanks for the tip!
