Is one day enuf??

Am traveling out west in August to get son settled in school.
We will be flying into Tuscon, AZ then heading to the Lake Elsinore area in Ca to visit my sister.
Want to see parts of the Ca coast, Hollywood and Chinese Theatre, maybe stop at one of your famous beaches like Venice or Malibu Beach or should we see San Diego? we also want to see DL but are unsure if one park hopping day would be enuf or should we do two full days
then heading for Vegas for a few days, hoover dam and grand canyon one day tour, take in a few shows then back to the east coast from there.

We will have about 11 days, three of which will be spent in Arizona. So can we do all this and what should we miss and what should we not miss on our first (and maybe last) trip to the southern west coast???

Any ideas would greatly be appreciated

You will definitely need 2 days at DL, especially if you are going to do DCA also. Summertime is busy,so you'll need all the time you can get. By all means, squeeze in a day or so to San Diego. I love Mission Beach. It's a great place.

At least two, if you can swing three at DLR, even better. Actually, 3 is really the minimum.

I agree, 2 days is better, .............but what with your wirlwind tour of the West Coast, you have alot to see!!!! Then one day will be fine! One day is better than none...........

Sounds like you have a verrrrrrry busy trip planned. We did 4 days last August and it was not enough. Very crowded but doable. At least two days.

To me, one or two days is not enough, but of course, this is coming from a person who has to do a minimum of 5 days.
