On the night of October 19th, everything is pretty much booked everywhere!
Do you think it has gotten that busy for that time period or do you think it is because Thursdays overlap with those that go down for the week and those that go for a long weekend??
We have always gone in October and now I am scared it will be PACKED!!!!

I'm curious as well because we're planning on making an October trip next year for our first trip "home" and for MNSSHP.

We were going to try a late october long weekend.

Disney changed Oct to regular season a few years ago - before then it was value season (thank goodness that DVC has not changed)...

they don't change season unless they have a good reason.

it has both MNSSHP and food/wine - plus those golf thing. plus a few other things I am forgetting.

Columbus weekend - which we find to be quite bad. If we can avoid Columbus weekend (our kids have a break around then) we do a lot better than if we are there on that weekend.

October has become quite popular - we've been really lucky with weather (warm enough to swim, not so warm as to melt), the crowds used to be reasonable. You have the Halloween party and the F&W festival (neither really impressed us).

I think that there is also the Thursday factor because studios are sold out at every resort for the next Thur, 10/26, as well. Interestingly, I could book a studio that night at BWV for cash with the member discount, which suggests to me that the DVC demand is higher than the CRO demand.

We were at the BWV last Oct 10-20 (arrived on Columbus Day and the resort was sold out) and found the parks to be full but not crazy. With some minimal planning, we were able to do everything we wanted without much of a wait.

Best of luck -- Suzanne
