Is October a good time to go?

Hi guys My family is trying to plan our yearly trp to the World and we're thinking about going from 10-26 to 11-1 We've never gone around this time and were just wondering how the weather is, if there are big crowds, or any deals. Also, we were thinking about Columbus day, but was wondering if it was too crowded. thnx for your help!!!!!!!!!

We went in October in both 2004 and 2005. I thought it was a great time to go. The weather did not seems as warm as our recent trip this past June but still great to swim. The Halloween party at MK was great. It was a lot less crowded during the week then on weekends. Honestly, I was a bit surprised it was as crowded as it was. Lots of people on fall breaks. I would love to go again in October. We've been in November and it was great the week before Thanksgiving, light crowds but got a little too cool for swimming and jackets at night. In October one time we wore jackets at night. The other time we did not need them.

Our first trip to the world was last October and the weather was great. Not to hot but warm enouth to still be able to swim. Very comfortable. We are planning our next trip to be Oct. 2008.

We've gone in October 4 of the last 5 years (went in December in 05 to try the Christmas Party). Last year was the first that it got cool (well 50 is cool to us in Michigan). It was just one night which was the night we went to the MNSSHP. All the prior October trips we took jackets and jeans and never used them. We had to buy sweatshirts for each of us. We'll be leaving on the 17th of October again for a week. We love October.

We went Columbus day weekend last year and the crowds were pretty bad. Weather was nice during the day (warm enough to swim) but a little chilly at night. (Jackets)

This year we are trying end of Oct. 28 thru Nov 2.

I also think that October is a great time to go for weather. We've done it a few times and I don't think that we every brought out our jackets even at night. There also shouldn't be much rain to contend with which is a bonus.

Yeah, the crowds are smaller, its cheaper to go during this time of year, the weather is perfect, and your in WDW. What more could you ask for.
