Is Navi Worth My Time?

We think it is. My girlfriend is an art teacher and loves the visuals and colors. She was not the biggest fan of FOP but we do like Navi. It might be time to try to get her to give FOP another try. Haha.

For us that would be a no. We walked onto it when everybody else flocked to FoP so we had zero wait. To me the ride was short and there wasn't much to it. If there is no line I'd say go ahead but if there is a line then I'd say it isn't worth it.

We stood in a short line to see it. Glad we saw it ....once. We had Fastpasses for later but didn't use them. Calm ride, plenty of AC, and impressive special effects. I'm not a big Avatar fan, so maybe I missed something, but the ride didn't seem to tell a story. It just seemed like a lot of special lighting and plants over and over. We kind of looked at it as a high-tech Living With The Land. I would recommend doing it once, then move on.

Its a calm serene ride. If the line up isnt very long, its worth it! But i wouldnt wait if its a long line up.

I think it is! We did it at rope drop and were right in and out, but I would also wait around 30 mins for it. I love nature and thought it was absolutely beautiful. I couldn't take all of the details in fast enough. That said, my DH thought it was "meh."

I love NRJ. I try to ride anytime I am in Animal Kingdom, usually at the end of the night
It is gorgeous and that Shaman animatronic is soooooo lifelike and beautiful

I will add that while I do like the ride, it could use just a little bit more "plussing" to make it truly great. Maybe just like an animatronic panther-beast or other creatures, something other than the video screens, and I'd feel it had a lot more value.

Like most things at Disney, it's worth doing at least once. I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes or so to do it though, as it's rather short and not very exciting. It's quite pretty, just not very thrilling. One issue is that there isn't much of a story to the ride. You're just riding on the boat looking at the lights and scenery. There's nothing wrong with that, but some type of narrative might make it a bit more interesting and add more significance to the Shaman at the end.

Yes. It’s a great attraction. Very Disney. We have never waited more than 20 min. Usually late in day.... but definitely do it. Imho. It’s a must do at AK

What I did was set my FP for slightly after the park opens. Rope drop Navi and you can go probably 2-3 times before lines even start to form.

We rope dropped it and enjoyed it (walk on with no wait at all). Lots of people head that way, but all the people are running to do FOP, not that. Do note, though, that due to crowd levels and the fact that we decided to go just three days before we did not have a FP for FOP (we wouldn't have been able to get one with advance planning either as we almost always stay offsite). Also we didn't want to wait in the long line or even attempt that. That meant for us Navi was a way to see something of the Avatar land area.

I don't think it's a must do, but my 23 year old and I did like it. It was just the two of us at AK.

It’s “OK” but I wouldn’t wait more than 20 minutes for it

Get a big box, sit in it in your living room, turn off all the lights and have your kids run past you with glow sticks, then pick one to flap their arms and sing in jibberish at the end....there, you pretty much just rode it and with 99%less wait.

I really enjoy Navi River Journey. I'm not sure I enjoy it enough to ride it without the rest of my family, but then I'm not sure I really enjoy any ride that much. I wouldn't wait in line an hour for it either. If I have FP, or can hop on with a short standby wait, I ride it. I think it is visually stunning, and relaxing. However, it is not an E ticket attraction. If you are expecting another FoP experience, Navi will be disappointing. If you go into it expecting a more visually pleasing version of Small World, albeit a bit shorter in length, then you will get exactly what you are expecting. I give it a two thumbs up. I think the reasons some people don't view it positively has to do with it being one of only two attractions in Pandora, and the fact that the line for it is frequently quite long and the ride is fairly short. If it had an average wait time of 10 minutes or less, were a bit longer experience, and / or weren't the only attraction in Pandora besides FoP, I think it would see much more positive reaction.

No one else in my group really wants to ride Navi-my son and husband did it on out last trip and my other kids are not interested. Is it worth a trek all the way over to that side of the park to ride?

If you can catch it first thing in the day there won’t be a wait or much at all. Then it’s worth it. Waiting more than 15-20 minutes. Nah.

Its beautiful, but I wouldn't wait too long for it. Like previous poster said 20 minutes max.

It is a short, pretty boat ride with a single animatronic (that is well done) at the end. We like it, but it isn't a 'WOW!!" ride. Not worth spending a long time in line, IMO, but if you haven't tried it, then it is worth walking over to Pandora for a short wait or FP+.
