We arrive Sun. afternoon:cool1: and leave on Fri afternoon. It's 2 adults and 2 kids. We're booked with the memories package with QSDP so we will have 24 adult meals and 24 kid meals, correct? And it can be used from the very start of vacation till we leave? Thanks alot!!!!!

QSDP is 2 QS credits (2 snacks and a resort mug) per person per night. You are staying 5 nights so you'll only have 20 adult QS credits, 20 kid QS credits, 40 snack credits and 4 mugs.

The previous poster is correct if you're traveling in 2012. If you're going this year, double the snack credits listed (they're 2 per person per night for 2011, but only 1 per person per night for 2012(.

No, the 40 snack credits is 2x4x5. They have 40 snack credits for 2011, they only have 20 snack credits if 2012.

OhThePain was correct for snack credits for 2011.
2 Snacks per day x 4 people x 5 nights = 40
2 CS meals per day x 4 people x 5 nights = 40 CS meals (20 Adult/20 Child)
4 refillable mugs

In 2012, the snack credits are reduced to 1/day
(Above example) 1 Snack per day x 4 people x 5 nights = 20

Original Poster was counting days for dining credits, not nights. That is why she/he thought there were 24 Adult, 24 Child credits. Incorrect. Goes by # of nights at resort. Credits can be used until midnight of check-out day. If you have credits left, get food/snacks to go and take with you on your return travel. :)

This is a 5 night stay. Based on allotments for a 5 night stay you will receive 10 CS credits per person (2 credits per night, per person). With 4 guests that is 40 CS credits for the entire trip. 20 credits for the adults and 20 credits for the children.

If you are traveling in 2011, it's 2 snacks per person for 5 nights (40 snack credits total).
If you are traveling in 2012, it's 1 snack per person for 5 nights (20 snack credits total)

As noted, the OP was basing their calculations on 6 days rather than 5 nights - dining plan allotments are always based on nights spent at the resort.

All credits are received in a lump sum upon check-in and must be used no later than midnight after check-out.

Is there any way on this plan to exchange a number of snack credits for a meal?

no but you could make a meal out of "snacks" a bowl of soup, salad, fries, egg rolls, pretzels are all things you oculd get(there are other choices too). 2 or 3 of those would make a decent meal

I use this site: snack list

It is a little outdated but gives you a really good idea of what is available for a snack that is not junk food. I look for the yogurt parfaits that could be a good quick lunch or eggrolls. Main Street Bakery even has uncrustables as a snack credit, that with a side of fruit, also a snack credit can be a good quick lunch for the kids without spending any money OOP.

I dont know about anyone else but my snack credits go to waste so I am always looking for ways to use them productively.

Great list! Thanks for the heads up. I will assume it will work for 2011 at least as an idea of where to look.

No, none at all. You might be able to trade your credits down in certain places, but you can never trade them up.

If you want to make a meal out of snacks and you're there in October or the first week of November, try the kiosks in World Showcase for the Epcot Food and Wine Festival.

*bangs head into desk*

Note to self: drink caffeine, then do math. Not the other way around.
