Is My Dog The Only One That...

I have a black cocker spaniel, and I don't think she is tall enough. But don't give her any ideas! ;) I have seen plenty of dogs do this in my lifetime. Just remember to keep those potties flushed :)
::yes:: We have a springer spaniel! :thumbsup2

My dog is too small to drink from the toilet, since he is a 7 pound Maltese.
BUT, yesterday, my husband and daughter came home to poop ALL over our NEW FRESHLY painted walls, yes walls not floor LOL
He goes poop and pee in the house on a hospital pad that we change either daily or twice a day.
He does need a little haircut and need the hair in the back cut but my dh and dd said it looked liked he must have had poop stuck to his hair in the back (it REALLY isn't long) and wiped himself all over the walls!!!!
THANK GOODNESS I was at work (I don't say that too often) since I would not have wanted to walk into that! They said it was in my dining room, kitchen and family room!
He does sleep under the covers at the bottom of the bed, he really does think he is one of the kids.
Oh well, have fun!

My Airedale will drink from the toilet occasionally. I think she is just too lazy to go to her bowl when a toilet is conveniently located to where she might be at the moment!! :teeth: My family consists of 3 males (all over the age of 20 with DH a lost cause since he is over the age of ----well..... let's not go there!) --- and if you find a way to get them to put down the seat -- let me know, too!!! :rotfl:

Both dogs (shepherds) and the cat do! Even worse when we're out in the back-yard in the pool and they've got water-bowls galore they insist on drinking out of the pool. Now BOTH of these sissies won't get in the pool and run like a thief if anyone gets out of the pool so they have to sneak up on one of the edges, lap up a few and then dart off. I think they believe they're getting away with something.

One reason dogs drink out of toilets is that the water level is high and they don't have to bend down as much to get at it. You can try putting their water bowl on top of something to see if that helps.

Of course, the main reason they drink out of toilets is that they are weird - and nothing you can do is going to help with that :)

Here, put this up in the bathroom...maybe he'll get the hint :teeth:

Those are cuties :)
One day I will take the time to figure out how to share pictures. I must admit it, my dog is pretty darn cute :teeth:

Chloe doesn't do that (I don't think she realizes she can!), but she does stand at the garden tub with her snout under the spout, just waiting for water to come out of it.

This is her third home to live in (with me) and she has done this in every bathroom so far. It's like she knows...

I always tell DH that if she ever gets lost and another family finds her, they're going to think she's nuts.

Nance- I do too. We also have a cleaning lady that comes once a week. I've never really thought about it, but I guess you're right! I need to watch my dog!

Well I'm logging off! :wave2:

That'll teach me not read posts backwards! E

Either you drink out of the toilet bowl too, or there is something else you're answering in this one... lol. :lmao:

YES!

Both animals (dog & cat) have a bathroom fetish. I don't think I've been able to use the bathroom animal-free since I got either one of them. The dog (lab mix) loves to drink out of the toilet, and can lift the lid to do it. They both insist on drinking out of the sink. They particularly enjoy drinking it as it comes out of the spigot. The dog sleeps in the tub, even though she can't stretch out in it. The cat likes to get behind the toilet to lie down.

Gotta luv 'em.

ETA: Forgot this part! How does the dog reach the sink, you may wonder? Well, she gets in the tub and perches on the ledge of the tub with three of her legs and stretches her neck to the sink. What a goofball.
