hats how I feel about housekeeping charges in my dues, we never stay long enough in one hotel for a full cleaning

They do need to clean it after you leave, of course. (Or, if you prefer, before you get there.)

The cleaning done between guests (before you arrive and after you leave) is a full cleaning, so how much do your many short stays cost owners in dues for housekeeping, compared to what it would cost if you stayed in one place for 8 nights or more so that you got a full cleaning during your stay? Think about it, if you stayed 2 nights in one room, 3 nights in another, and 3 in another, that’s 8 nights but 3 full cleanings instead of one. So why do you feel housekeeping charges in your dues are unfair? If DVC required reservations be at least 5 nights or longer, just think how the housekeeping portion of our dues would decrease.

Many other timeshares charge an extra housecleaning fee for stays that are shorter than a week.

Some hotels you cant even book more than a night (vgc) so charging extra for cleaning would be crazy imo. Not the owners fault avail is so slim causing super short stays inevitably.

If they add daily cleaning, it means that dues go up to cover it.

Right now, those that want it can pay extra. I think there are a lot of DVC who like not having someone coming in each day.

And, yes, they have to clean when someone checks out but those of us who do split stays are adding to the costs for cleaning by having more check outs.

One of the benefits of split stays that I enjoy is having a clean room more often than those that due a 7 night stay!!!

I wonder why PIT gave us daily housekeeping, I made sure they knew we were DVC, either way they win in the end because it made us enjoy our stay that much more to start saving for the purchase

Who knows but be happy!! Things can change over time too.

At one point, extra towels cost more. But they changed it and just built it into dues because I think people were just taking them from the pools and off carts when they saw them. Lol
