and enter in your city, and the year, make, and model of truck
and AAA will compute the gas costs based on prices where you are
and the mileage and the efficiency of your vehicle.

I had to laugh at the packing. I keep looking at stuff and wanting to pack. I have the toiletries done but can't do clothing and whatnot yet. I am trying to lose weight and am down 2 pounds so far this week. If I keep this up I will need new clothes for the trip!

Congrats! Keep it up. Any excuse to go shopping is a good one. Bealls is always having a sale after all.

I think your budget is fine. Even if you're buying an adult meal for your son, $50 should be plenty for counter service. Most adult meals, including a drink, run about $12. Kid meals are less.

I agree...although I typically use the dining plan, I think my QS meals have always been around 40 dollars for my family of 4 (2 under 9) when i watch them being rung up. Plus, you are in a great situation being able to drive in. You can pack a cooler with all kinds of things (snacks, sandwich meat, water, drinks, etc) so food should not be a problem. You can plan on eating out, but if you start to go over budget, you can just eat a light meal in your room in the middle of the day. Have a fun time!
