Or did my bank mess up? Here's the scenario:

I made 3 reservations through Travelocity for a trip we were going to take. We decided to not take the trip and I cancelled the reservations. On my CC statement it lists both the reservations and refunds. However, something didn't look right, so I added up all the charges. Even though the statement lists the refunds (close to $250) as credit it's not reflected on my balance which should be lower.

On the first page it has my payment and the refunds listed. On the second page it has my charges including the reservations. When I add up the payment and refunds that amount is right. When I add up all the charges including the reservations listed it's correct. But shouldn't it be $250 lower since I received the refund? Am I missing something?

Wouldn't it be even if the charges and credits are on the same statement?

I figured it out and it's correct. I should know better to not try and do my finances before caffeine is in full effect. It just looked weird the way they did it.
