Is MVMCP worth it?

From what I've read, MK is very well decorated for Christmas. They even turn Country Bears into a Christmas show and I get the impression that even Haunted Mansion is changed over with Christmas decorations. I read something about Small World twinkling with lights...although it already does. From what I can tell from research, the parades and fireworks are also Christmas themed. So I am wondering if it is already magical to go during the holidays, what makes the Christmas Party worth purchasing? I know its easier to get on the rides, but if you get there when the park opens you get to pretty much jump on what you want to ride. So is it just the hot chocolate and cookies and artificial snow that makes it? :confused3 Tell me what makes it so special for you that you want to go back again.

No, the Christmas parade and fireworks are only shown at MVMCP UNTIL it's over, then after the MVMCPs are done (December 21), guests can see the parade and fireworks during regular hours.

So for the price of admission you get 8 hours of rides, special fireworks, Christmas parade, special Xmas shows like Twas the Night Before Xmas, snow falling down Main street, free souvenir photo, cookies and hot chocolate etc...

It's a beautiful, magical, festive experience and I can't wait to go again 10 days!!!

Athough I haven't been to MVMCP yet, this was the first year we went to MNSSHP and we had a blast. The park at night with such few people is awesome. It was a whole different experience with the CMs' and the dance party and it was an all over festive experience. (Does that make sense?) Since you don't have to pay for the regular park admission after 4pm, it really is a bargain if you think of it that way...8 hours of fun, with a bonus of a picture AND cookies and cocoa! I cant' wait! :rockband: :dancer:

Don't you have to have a valid park admission to get into MVMCP? Besides the MVMCP ticket?

NO, going to MVMCP is a hard ticket event, meaning that is your way in. You could be a local who sits at home until time for the event and then drive over and go to the party. The party actually doesn't start until 6, but they start letting you in at 4.

Haunted Mansion and Small World in Florida remain unchanged. In California they get a makeover for Christmas.

Just didn't want you expecting something that your not going to get.

In my Opinion, seeing the Christmas parade at night, and the 360 fireworks is worth the price of MVMCP alone!

EVERYTHING! Just walking down main street with the snow falling and seeing the parade and fireworks, it was so much fun, no Magical! Do it, it's worth every penny!

MVMCP was magical. Just be prepared for more crowds during the event. Have fun. :goodvibes

Ok, I'm sold! :goodvibes Although I'm wondering if DL decorates those attractions, why doesn't MK? :confused3 I don't remember where I read about it, but it sounded pretty cool.

REmember also that the best time at MK is at night and well, you get the park with less crowds for 6 hours after sunset.

We did MVMCP last year for the first time (after having done MNSSHP) and I have to say I was more impressed with MNSSHP - BUT! I would still do MVMCP again. It was fun! Free photo, good cookies, and hot chocolate (and I mean HOT) - not to mention parade, fireworks, and snow!

It wasn't my favorite party, and I think we went on a "bad" night (things seemed to be a bit off) - but I would do it again and I think that's saying a lot.
