Is MVMCP really worth the extra $

Our up-coming trip is our second Christmas trip. In 2010, we arrived after the last MVMCP was already held. This trip, we decided to take advantage of our travel dates and go to a party. We look at it as "something to try once" and so we will go to AK in the am and MK in the evening. We are really looking forward to it!:santa:

I have been debating it for our trip. My decision based on the info I have looked up is minimal Waite times and character you don't see in parks. After spending thousands of dollars on a Disney vacation what's another. 200 to see some extra character and have a chance to get on our favorite rides with little or no Waite. We are doing it! And it will save me 30 bucks because that will be our Santa's lap picture with kids.

It will be my husband, 19yo dd, and 8 and 10yo boys. Please tell me why this is really worth the extra $. We will have 4 days in parks, and staying offsite, so no EMH, if that matters. Thanks!

While I haven't experienced MVMCP yet, for DH and I, the MNSSHP has totally been worth the money for the past 5 or so years. The lower crowds alone have made it worth while, and when you add in the trick-or-treating, the special fireworks and parade, and the unique character sightings it's been the highlight of our trips. So much so that we booked our annual trip a week later and added a 15th night so we can attend our first MVMCP!

We are a family of 4, and we attended for first time 2 years ago. While it was an expense that I feel was a bit much, we did have an incredible time. They also have shows they put on around the park along with the parade, hot cocoa and cookies- plus they only sell the MVMCP shirts etc during the party. We thought it was truly magical and my girls are asking to go again this year, but not sure I want to spend the extra money again- I guess it will depend on our finances once it gets closer. It really is a personal decision and only you know your family best- I would recommend going at least once!!

At this point in time, having attended 2 MVMCP's, I'd say it's not worth the extra money.

I think it would be fun for anyone to attend at least once though, just to experience it.

We enjoy it. Lower crowds, MK at night, holiday decorations, special parade and fireworks, hot chocolate cookies and so on. I don't like that all the dates for AP or FL res discounts are maybe 5 nights in all but we still by regular the tickets
