We went to the party in 2011. Has the fireworks and parade changed since then? Or are they the same? Debating on going since the party is on 4 nights of our week long stay in Dec.

They are having frozen wishes and a Elsa castle lighting ceremony. I don't know what else they changed.

I went in 2011 and 2103. There were minor differences like meet and greet locations and the castle projection show. But for the most part, it was the same.

Yup. They keep changing the last digit in the date, year after year.

;)

There may be some changes to the parade from year to year. Sometimes they just change chatacters, sometimes it's costume updates other times they replace some of the floats.

Sometimes I think people go because they like the traditional sights and sounds of the MVMCP just as we tend to cherish our own family holiday traditions. It is certainly true for our family. The biggest and best enhancement through the years for me, anyway, have been the castle lights. Can't get enough of that sight. Fortunately, you don't even have a hard ticket event to enjoy those!

Now, I believe in the magic whole-heartedly, but the other changes I have noticed have not been happy ones since we went to our first party years ago. The traditional price increase, for one, along with the disappearance of the MVMCP button of the year. Not a pin, but a free button for every partygoer. The free family photo which was mailed to your home in the weeks following the event. Maybe it is my imagination but it seems the selection of party-specific merchandise has diminished. But Perhaps they think they are compensating by allowing more people to enjoy the party each night.

Don't get me wrong. I still LOVE the party and will be there again this year with my trusty Santa Mickey hat on! After all, it has become a tradition for our WDW vacations.

I just watched a video of Holiday Wishes from last year's first party, and there was nothing Frozen in it. Are you maybe thinking of Celebrate the Magic?
