Is MLK weekend busy in the parks?

What is MLK holiday? Sorry I have no clue. I know it's a holiday related to Martin Luther King, but does everyone get a day off for this? I will be in WDW on January16th and I was wondering what I should expect crowd wise.

It is mostly a state and federal holiday meaning schools, banks, and all gov't offices will be closed. Retail businesses are open as are alot of office type businesses. I have never been to WDW over MLK weekend but have read here that it does get crowded. Anytime you have a 3 day break from school alot of people will travel. You should probably repost your message with a more specific title to inquire about MLK weekend crowds only.

We were there last year; we arrived Saturday night and went straight to MK which seemed like a normal Saturday night. Sunday and Monday were busy, but not crazy busy, and by Tuesday and Wednesday it was slow...I'd recommend going later like we did, Saturday to Wednesday, rather than taking Thursday to Monday, IMO.
