My original plan was to just do 1 TS per day but now i may do the Mickey's Backyard BBQ. This is going to replace Crystal Palace on this day if i do this or possibly Boma if i switch days depending on which i want more CP or BOMA. Also I was going to pay out of pocket when we go to DHS and eat at Sci-Fi for lunch and was supposed to go to Chef Mickeys for dinner that same day but will cancel out CM if we do this since we dont need two Mickey meals. Since we planned on paying out of pocket anyway for one it will all work out with the meal credits so its not a problem. Now is the BBQ worth it? Also do you have to sit in the heat and when it rains what happens?

Our family loves Mickey's BBQ. Of course, we are traveling with 3 kids under 6. It is buffet style hot dogs, burgers, ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans, etc. There is unlimited food and drinks (wine and beer included - which is why my husband doesn't mind going). The food isn't too stellar, but our kids absolutely love it! It is more of a dance party with the characters. Kids who rushed the characters with their autograph books were denied signatures on the dance floor. The first dance is very chaotic as every kid rushes the characters, but after that it gets more enjoyable. They do some rope tricks as well and the band is great. You definitely need to be there at least 1/2 hour early. As for the weather, we only gone in April when it was sunny and not too hot. It was very bearable that time of year. We're going back this April since the kids loved it so much!

As for replacing it was Boma, I don't know if I'd do that. If I was traveling with kids, I would. If I was traveling without kids, I wouldn't. My kids definitely enjoy the backyard BBQ more than the Crystal Palace. We have only done breakfast at Chef Mickey's, not dinner. My kids enjoy the breakfast because they get to see each character at their table, compared to the BBQ where they share the characters more.

I think it is worth 2 credits but if I could choose another 2 credit place it would be HDDR or the Luau. Anyway If the weather is good, since it is outside and they do have a very large covered pavilion. Food is okay but the fun part is the characters dance and you can participate as well. Line dancing for example. If it is not going to mess up anything else I would try it. I know when we went in August it was raining so we got wet going and of course the weather was very hot. Still was a fun time.
