Is Mickey at HDDR?

Do the characters make an appearance at HDDR? If so, do they interact with the tables, or are they just performing?

No. Hoop Dee Doo Revue is a musical revue. It is a country/southern type show. There are no characters involved at all.

HDDR is not a character meal. Mickey is not there. It is a Western themed dinner show with lots of singing, dancing, corny jokes and audience interaction. It is an "All you Care to Eat" dinner with down home favorites of fried chicken and ribs and the fixin's.
Mickeys Backyard Barbeque, also at Fort Wilderness does have characters. I have not been to this but I understand it is a buffet style outdoor dinner with hotdogs and burgers etc. The characters interact with the children and participate in line dancing etc.

Thanks everyone! We can make ADRs on Wednesday, so I'm starting to work on my "worst-case scenario" list and was thinking if I couldn't get Chef Mickey's, it might be ok if we got HDDR. Then, remembering it's a dinner show, thought I had better see if characters were there or not.

Characters in the audience sound extremely entertaining, though!

Disney cartoon characters do not appear at Hoop De Doo Revue. They do appear at Mickey's Backyard Barbecue.

Hoop de Doo has its own troupe of wacky Wild West performers.
