Is Memory Maker worth it Christmas Week?

I am thinking it might be too crowded to get your money's worth. Any thoughts?

I don't think that the crowd levels will really have an impact on the value of Memory Maker.

We're going Xmas week and we are getting it because of the extra pics we can get in front of resort Xmas trees and maybe other extra "holiday" pics availble. Also, because we will be there 12 nights....

No matter what the crowd level is, it is what you make of it. You need to use it to make it worth it. When we would enter a park, say MK, we would skip the first few photographers on Main St as the lines were usually long and would find the lines much shorter closer to the end, if there was not a line we would get a pic taken. If we wanted a pic closer to the beginning of Main St and had not gotten one earlier we would get one done on the way out. As there are fewer people entering the park at that time the lines for pics are shorter and even non existent. Around the parks we usually found it very easy to have our pic taken with little to no line.


Basically it boils down to, if you buy it use it as much as you can.

I guess why I am concerned about crowds and Memory Maker is because I keep reading Christmas week is crazy busy... long lines for even the bathrooms. If it is that busy for everything it would make sense that the characters lines and photopass photographers would be swamped as well. Plus we will not get to ride as much as normal so that will be a decrease of ride photos too. When we do get a magic shot or regular photo I am thinking there will be a ton of other people in the photo as well since the parks will be packed. I can't decide if I will not be able to utilize the product to get my money's worth or if this will be the only thing I can actually get done since the ride lines will be long. I did use it effectively last Oct but not sure about this time of year.

I think that is a valid concern. We only had 6 shots during our March trip. The lines were not worth waiting for and there was no one at our CP breakfast. Like Jimsig mentioned you have to plan on using it, and accept that there will be some down time waiting in line during busy times. We are going 12/13 and will have 11 in our group so I am signing up again. Hopefully we will make better use this time around.
