HI, I'm planning an adult only trip. I'm looking at all of my options and I'm wondering if the Memory Maker photo plan is worth it.

I used it on our past two trips (me and my mom). We were there for 14 days each time and I'm the one that's usually behind the camera. It was nice to actually have some good photos of the both of us. Granted, we also did a lot of character meet & greets, but we also loved the ride photos. For us, we felt it was worth it!

My husband and I had it last May, and we are getting it again for our December trip. It's nice to have the 2 of us together in photos. We found it to be worth the money.

We loved it! We've used it twice as only adults and both times got tons of amazing photos. Last June on our 8-day trip we ended up with about 400 (give or take a few) and it was great. I love having all the ride photos as well. It was well worth it again and we will use it on all future trips. It was nice not having to worry about taking my camera or giving someone one of our phones and risking them breaking it or worse. Disney photogs will use your camera for you but we just overall liked the Memory Maker better. We stopped for a lot of photos we would otherwise not stop for and it really paid for itself.

Regardless of how many people you have using it or if it's just adults, you have to make some effort to make it worth it. What I mean is, go on rides that have pictures, do meet and greets and stop and get your picture taken as often as possible.

Do you have to have the Memory Maker to get the Pictures? Am I getting Memory Maker and Photo Pass confused. im not sure how many of the photo ops we will actively look for.

PhotoPass is the photo taking service; Memory Maker is a product you can buy that gives you all of your pictures for $169. You can buy individual pictures at $15 a piece, so it would only take 11 pictures to pretty much break even.

My wife and I bought it in September for a 5 night trip and we got our monies worth. We enjoyed it so much because we were both in all of our pictures. We bought it again for our trip next week.

I wouldn't for DH and I, we don't need that many pics of ourselves. :P I prefer the kid pics. We just did it, have over 400 photos. I got it as a family so we'd have some family photos, which I love. Going back with just DH in April, definitely won't get it, and probably won't bring anything besides the cell phone camera!

We bought it last year for a trip with DS and DGD but because of scheduling were able to stretch it to cover a separate trip that was only DH and I. We love those photos because otherwise DH (the family photographer) wouldn't be in very many! We did make an effort to seek out PP photographers and ask for magic shots. That said, we wouldn't plan to buy it just for the two of us in the future - but now that we qualify for the Gold Pass, we plan to "downgrade" one of our APs to a Gold Pass when we're there in a couple of weeks, so that we can get the PP benefits for roughly $20.

DW and I just returned from our first couples trip in 17 years. We bought APs which now include PhotoPass. We've never had it before. It was great! In all of the trips we've taken, we've hardly ever gotten any pictures of just the two of us and we never buy ride photos. Now with PP, we were stopping PP photographers throughout the parks to take our picture plus we got all of the ride photos. And it was all included with our APs.

Would I pay $200 for it? Absolutely not.

I only used to get it when it was BFF and me....but we meet the characters and like to do the posing.
But now it will be included with APs, I will make DH at least get in a couple of shots ;)

We haven't used MM yet(wasn't around then), but have purchased the PP cd in the past. It's a great way to get everyone in the picture, get those fun magic shots and not worry about having to stop someone to ask if they'll take our picture. Pictures are memories documented, no matter who the subjects are.

I have never purchased MM or even any photo pass photos in the past, to be honest. My daughter and I are both avid photographers. I visit often as a tour director for groups, and get lots of pics of my groups and general park pics. But I decided to purchase it this month because it will cover 3 trips -- two for work, and one with my DH and DD. I'm excited to search out PP photographers, do magic shots, and get ride photos. And actually be IN the pics! I probably won't ever do it again, but I'm looking forward to having fun with it over the next month.

Just wondering what a gold pass is?

Thanks

There's no right answer to this other than to ask how much you want the pictures. Lots of great spots for pictures - magic shots and ride pictures are fun - don't have to constantly pull out your own camera, etc. If you want to stop at a lot of photographers to get lots of pictures taken during the trip and want the pictures its worth it. If you don't want to do that, or would be happy with buying 2-3 pictures of your trip, then not. $169 isn't cheap but you can easily get a few hundred pictures (most photographers will take multiple pictures).

Remember, you can always get all the pictures taken and see them before making a decision. They'll be online usually within a few minutes after you leave the photographer. You just spend $30 more if you don't buy in advance.

Before my most recent trip (and even during much of this one) all my trips were adult only and we love Memory Maker. We're all in pictures together, we get all the ride photos - even when we single rider the rides - and we get awesome character photos! On my last trip I came home with over 1400 pictures (and then I started editing them... Granted I was there for 3 weeks for my wedding and spent time with my in laws for their first trip and my new nephew for his so we posed A LOT!)

Oldest DD and I split the cost of Memory Maker on our trip last year. It was our first time using it. She and her fiance toured separately from my other DD and I for most of the trip. Between us, we had over 600 pictures for a one-week trip. FYI we did NO character breakfasts, we basically just stopped for pictures whenever we ran into a photographer and did the Epcot Character Spot M&G. It was well worth the money to us, and there were no small kids in our group. It was so nice to finally be in at least half of the pictures (usually I'm the one taking all the pics). When we got home I downloaded all the pictures to my computer, picked the ones I liked best, and ordered inexpensive prints from shutterfly to make an album for me and one for DD and her fiance.

When one of my best friends and I went last year her husband added MM about a week before the trip for us so we could have those pictures together. That made us start searching out Photographers so we could have so many different views together and occasionally separately. Over the course of a 5 night trip we took 400 pictures between park icons, characters and rides. We loved having all those pictures of the two of us together. We stopped so frequently at photographers a couple of them started to recognize us.

Once it was decided we had to go back for Christmas this year we just automatically decided to add MM so we can have all the pictures. We want all of the Christmas stuff, several character m&g and the Christmas party so should get plenty of use. It was a fun game to find the photographers.
