Is McDonald's still offering the McRib sandwich?

They have pork and chicken versions? How do you know which one you're getting?

Does it matter? :confused3 It's all "mystery meat" anyway. :rotfl2: I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same patty for both. How much meat do you actually think is in one of those patties. :scratchin

Whatever it is, it tastes so good. Since they only offer it for a limited time, how dangerous can they be? Maybe McD's offers it for a limited time for that very reason. ;) They've figured out how many McRibs a person can eat in the two month period before toxicity builds up to dangerous levels, then they deliberately pull the McRibs from the restaurants for another year & a half. Forcing people to detox before offering them again. :scratchin

We call it the McRubber!! The only one I ever had was hard and spongy

DH just about piddled in his pants when he saw that the McRib was back!

Here in northern Indiana we've had them back for almost a month now.

I think I've had 5, with the required large Coke and fries. :cloud9: I have to quit that bad habit though, my jeans are getting a wee bit tight. Not to mention I worked really hard to get my cholesterol level down to an acceptable level. I'm sure the fries aren't doing me any good.

It's all just soooooooo good!!!!!!!

You're not kidding! The BBQ Sauce mixed with the onions and the pickles. What a perfect combination. I'm going to do my best to limit myself, especially since I just lost the 15 lbs. I wanted to lose!

I had one yesterday and today, they offer a second one for $1 with the purchase of a value meal. I love them but minus the onions.

I'm having lettuce for dinner tomorrow night so I can have a McRib meal for lunch tomorrow. I love that saucey goodness!:lovestruc

We just drove by our local McD's on our way home and the sign out front said "The McRib is Back!" so apparantly they are still selling them here. I'm surprised DH hasn't gotten one yet, he used to really like them.

Nope, just pork. When they first came out years ago they sold so well it actually caused a shortage of pork in the U.S.

I will never forget an ex-BF of mine once saying...

"You know what McRib stands for...Rodent In Bun"

Yep, that's what I was going to say. I've heard they don't offer it year-round because if they did, they'd wipe out the pig population!

Rodents are meat. Really, I don't think there is meat in these.

The McRib is one of my guilty pleasures. I just like the taste, although every time I have one I can't help thinking of the Simpsons episode.

Krusty Burger has a rib sandwich that Homer gets addicted to. Then Krusty has to discontinue it because:

Krusty: "The animal where the meat comes from has become extinct"

"The pig?" "The cow?"

Krusty: "Think smaller and more legs" :lmao:

McRibs are no worse than SPAM. And if you have ever been to Hawaii, you know both McDonalds AND Burger King sell menu items with SPAM, or as it is known in the islands, "Hawaiian Steak".
Oh decisions, decisions, a McRib for lunch tomorrow, or a SPAM sandwich?

I eat at McDonald's, but the shape of a McRib has always made me a little uncomfortable and hesitant to try one. I mean, it's shaped like there's rib bones in it, yet it's boneless. :worried: I don't know why that should bother me since generally I have no problem with fast food, but it does.

:scared:,:rotfl:

Well, if they didn't shape it that way, then it would just be McSlab-O-Pork-Product.
