Is Lincoln's birthday an observed holiday or is Mardi Gras a big draw?

Our last weekend is feb 8-10 and a crowd predictor has that pegged as a 9 both days.Just trying to figure out why the parks are going to be so crowded that weekend?
DD is enrolled in the Y.E.S. program both days that weekend so no early start for us.
Any insight?

My kiddo is off school that Monday... I assume others are too.

If you have a chance to check, would you mind sharing what the prediction for the previous Sun-Tues (Feb 3, 4 & 5) are? We're considering going then...

Thanks!

Some school districts in southern california have Monday the 11th off for Lincoln's birthday but you will find it varies by the district as some don't have it off. As for Mardi Gras, many around here don't know when it is although some restaurants may advertise some food items for it but it isn't a big draw for people to come to Disneyland.

Touring Plans has the 3rd at an 8 out of 10. 4th a 5 out of 10 and the 5th a 2 out of 10.
