Is Jersey week as bad as spring break?

I just heard about "Jersey Week" and we are booked to stay at the AKL Nov 3-6. We've been planning this trip for about 8 months now and it's kind of the honeymoon-we-never-had after 23 years of marriage. We went to WDW one time over spring break and as much as we love WDW my husband does not do well in crowds. I'm a little concerned now but since we leave on our cruise Nov. 6 (which means we are a bit tied to the date) I was hoping someone could tell me what to expect for crowds.
I know one poster said something about 1-3 but I'm not sure what that means. Any help would be greatly appreciated!:goodvibes

Oh, and if anyone could estimate wait time for the rides that would be awesome!:cool2:

Thanks so much!

It is nowhere near as busy as Spring Break! I'd estimate midday wait times at the big headliners to be less than 60 minutes (maybe a bit more for TSMM and Soarin'). There really isn't a huge effect on crowds- mostly, you'll notice that the people around you at the parks have NJ accents.

Have a great delayed honeymoon! You will like November at WDW.

Don't expect that you'll be at WDW with Snooki, The Situation, types... or the Real Housewives types either.. ok ok, maybe closer to those but nope. Jersey week shouldn't affect touring all that much.

Its just a name for a week that a lot of people from NJ go because of a teacher convention/school closure. We haven't gone at Jersey week but always run into a lot of people from Jersey whenever we go!

it has no real effect, i've gone many years during that time frame and the only major waits are TSM and soarin (about 20-30).....no clue why "the forums" (not just this one) make such a big deal about it!

Thank you everyone, I'm really not worried about it all now!!:goodvibes

By the way, hubby is from Delaware originally and that's where we lived for many, many years so the accent is something we're use to and as far as the big hair goes (being a 80's teen/20 something), maybe I could fluff up for Jersey Week?!?:lmao:

Thanks again everyone and I'm sure we'll have a great "honeymoon"!!:lovestruc

My feeling has always been it is just the people of New Jersey overstating their importance in the world. (Or should I say World?)

Crowds will be light to moderate occasionally...I have found waits the a little different...Soarin usually has no wait...5 mins last year...the longest waits we experience during that time frame...is TSM, Test Track and Peter Pan...the mountains have never had a bad wait
