Is it worth the drive to fly out of BWI?

Just a tip if you decide to spend the night before at a BWI hotel, the Embassy Suites allows you to leave your car there for free while you are gone. Also booking them ahead of time through Hilton Family MVP you get a better rate.

I wonder if all Embassy Suites allow this. What a great perk.
Our flight out west this summer is at 6 am. I wonder how their shuttles are.

Never mind. It figures. The one near PHL not only doesn't offer free parking but they charge all hotel guests $7/day to park there and don't even offer an airport shuttle. Welcome to Frigitdelphia.

When I called to book our room, I looked into the Embassy first. They said they had a park and fly rate but it wasn't free. HOWEVER , if you paid out of pocket, the rate was cheaper than the regular rate. The hilton was most expensive due it's proximity to the airport, then embassy, homewood suites and then Hampton.

Don't pay the park and fly rate. We do this all of the time. They don't charge you for leaving your car there. Call the hotel directly and ask. Also, wait until your travel dates are closer. I never pay more than $99 for a king suite or $99 for 2 queens.

Their shuttles are fine. Never had a problem with it. When you come back you call the hotel directly and they will dispatch the shuttle. When you get back to the hotel the driver will take you right to your car

I will definitely ask when we get down there. We are booked on points, and I am hoping that's husband's Hilton Honor status would help us to get some free parking LOL I called the hotel directly and they were pretty adamant. My husband has had luck with complimentary parking near Philly airport.

You are absolutely right! I just called and they told me while you are there with your car it's free, but otherwise its $5 a night. She said that they changed this within the past 6 months. Makes sense since the last time we were there was December. That really stinks! I will probably still stay there because the space for our family of 5 is perfect and their breakfast is pretty good too. Either that or we will just fly out later in the day.

True! They have a great cooked to order breakfast. It's not your standard free hotel buffet.
