We are looking to stay at a Universal resort for 2 nights at the end of Sept.. Is it worth buying an AP for the resort discount? We will be going to the parks for 2 days. What have been past resort discounts?

Right now, you can book the RPR for May for $139 a night using your pass.

I'm also going the end of September. Right now for that time frame, RPR shows up at $179 for annual pass and $159.20 for AAA. The $179 may go down as time goes on, that seems to be the trend. I haven't checked any of the other hotels cause RPR is my favorite.

If you have AAA, I'd book with that and purchase bonus passes. If you're planning on returning to Universal, then I'd purchase the 15-month power pass for $115 thru AAA. You don't get discounts with it and it has some blackout dates. But it's only $15 more than the 5-day bonus passes and you've got 15 months to make another trip to Universal.

HTH! :)
