Is it worth it...or am I wasting money???

Hi i think you will have a great time, its a wonderful place! People give out about some small things but there are a lot more positives than negatives! I loved it there and we are all looking forward to going again next month! Hope you enjoy it!!:goodvibes

Okay, I am officially goosebumpy!

Anybody who reads here regularly knows how I feel about the place and that I sometimes feel a bit defensive when I see criticism, so much so that I tend to skim read such threads now and just feel thankful that it takes all sorts. (big breath....sentence too long!) What I find very reassuring is how many people have bothered to post here with their very positive experiences - and some bloody good advice too!

OP, I hope you have a wonderful time and that you join the 'can't help booking again' crowd. :goodvibes

you will have a magical time, we have just come back for a trip and have to say i didnt notice any of the things highlighted in the maintance thread! I think if you go thinking its going to be bad then you will find the faults. We have been to wdw and dlrp and love them both for different reasons, but i wouldnt say one is better than the other *** you cant compare them. there will always need to be things refurbed in dlrp, its a big place and they will constantly need to be doing things to keep on top of it. Go with an open mind and i am sure the look on your lo's face when they meet mickey for the first time will out weigh any diy issues you might come across. :thumbsup2

We were there last week for our 2 year old son's first trip, and our 10th. I didn't notice anything wrong with the parks so I am now going to look at the maintenance thread to see what I obviously missed!

One thing we did notice is that the cast members all seem to full to the brim with Disney magic and were all super friendly and helpful.

I agree too, I have stopped visiting other forums besides the DIS so much because I don't really want to read negative things about DLP, and there are many more of them elsewhere. I know that there are sometimes problems, and that everyone has the right to negative opinions if they want them.
But for me, Disney is my escape from the negative and stressful things in everyday life. I don't see a need to seek out negativity within Disney, when there is so much positivity to be found.
I want to discuss the magic and share excitement about trips, not find faults.
This is just my opinion, I know there are people who have been lucky enough to visit DLP loads and loads of times and they are perfectly entitled to find fault. That's just not what it's about for me.
