all I would basically use it for is our trip in dec.? Is it worth the 60$

Depends on low long your trip is, where you want to stay and if you will be getting annual passes or not. You need to figure up the discount you can get, which varies on the resort and date of your trip. If the total discount is more thant the price of AAA, then I would get it, esp since general discount codes are few and far between lately.

We joined AAA in January because of the Disney discounts. We saved $40 in the first month on a hotel stay in Atlanta. We just booked a March trip to Disney and didn't use AAA because the AP rate was REALLY good - however, the AAA rate would have absolutely paid for itself. Not only that, if you ever run out of gas, they'll come take care of you!! :thumbsup2

There is no cost for travellers checks and a Disney parking pass ( diamond area ) which allows you to park closer ( not for free) as well as any maps , and guide books you might need and discounts on many world wide attractions .. It's well worth the cost for our family since we travel every year.

I just changed my reservations yesterday for Pop Century because my mom gave us AAA membership. I saved $169.00 on my room alone, and about $70 on our tickets!!

Very very excited about that :goodvibes

We got it for a 2-night stay at BWV, as it saved us more than $60 (more than $60 per day, in fact).

We used it for 2 weeks in CA, different resorts. We saved hundreds of dollars on that alone.........add our 3 tows last year, our 15 month Universal passes for price of a 2 day, Disney hotel disounts (using again in May), plenty of other hotel discounts, other ticket and restaurant discounts....................

I always thought it was a waste because I always related it to tow trucks etc. and we live in a large city. But we get so many discounts we forget to use them all....like the dining discount at Universal, forgot :(

We even upgraded to the 2 person card because of all the money we can both save. When the kids goes to college, they will have as well, if nothing else for the car support.

We joined AAA to get 10% of Amtrak fares plus the room discount at Disney. Disney was into that Best rate bologna and we couldn't get a good rate and went with the AAA discount. We have since gone again with AP's and we'll play the odds on who's better. Besides, we get the road service from AAA to boot, we frequently travel from home to Columbus to visit the kids and having AAA makes the trip easier, about 175 miles one way and in our golden years, helps.

We just got back from Disney and we were really happy that we were AAA members. The Diamond parking was great! Really close to the front of the parking lot and very convenient. Also, when I booked our vacation I saved an additional $200 over the "discounted" price from Disney. We also got a Diamond Card for discounts on dinners and shopping in Downtown Disney but we never had time to use it. Overall, I was really happy with the service.

I was beginning to think that NO ONE was going to mention how good AAA service is to DRIVERS.

I have used the tow service many times over the years (there's nothing worse than car-trouble to wreck a good day).

Its been a very good deal and come in handy every year we've had it,
even if we never used it for Disney-related activities.

(Nope, I'm not affilliated with AAA. Just a satisfied customer.)

I always find I save with AAA. I just got a $68 rate for our Nov. 30-Dec.2 stay at POP. Plus, you get the parking pass!!!
