Several CM's have told me that if an AP room is cancelled it goes back into the general inventory and can't be booked with an AP rate?

It seems contrary to what other people have done here by picking up AP rates when someone else cancels.

The CM's keep telling me I'm wasting my time because it will never become available.

I'm trying to get AKL Concierge on Dec. 5. I already have the room with a AAA discount.

Thanks,

Lori

Sounds to me like some CMs are trying to reduce call volume! ;)

It could be true, but then again, with Disney reservation agents, the left hand NEVER knows what the right hand is doing. Call another 10 times, and you'll probably get 10 new, different answers.

It doesn't hurt to call and ask if any discounts have become available for your stay. The worst they could say is no. I say, keep trying!

It used to be that when you booked a room with a code and cancelled that room went back into general inventory meaning that it wasn't available at a discount.

Maybe with the AP that is different.
