Is it true they make lenses that reduce computer glare?

A friend of mine says they can put a coating on them or something. Is that true? I'd get a pair with no prescriptions just the anti-glare if I could.

I'm not sure about contact lenses, but if you are talking about lenses in glasses, then yes. DH has a pair. I don't think they were very much more than his regular pair of glasses.

They also gave him a different prescription for the computer glasses so he didn't strain his eyes.

I have low/no glare on my glasses. It very much helps to reduce/eliminate the glare flare you normally get on the glasses, but the only thing that I think would reduce glare from a monitor would be a glare guard screen on the monitor, or possible a polaroid coating (I have on my sunglasses) on a pair of glasses.

I didn't know they had that...interesting.I will have to look into it!
