Did anyone respond to this yet? When I was there last it was still only a baby Mr. Coffee, but I'm pretty sure it's been changed since then. (this past January) Anybody know the answer? I know when Brandi went in May I think the coffee makers were different.

No not yet! Thanks for bumping this up.:goodvibes It looks like there are a few who are going this week who might post what kind of coffeemaker is in the room now.

I haven't had a tag in YEARS...Tag Fairy doesn't fly around the wedding boards :(

When i was there it was a four cup coffee maker, I think it was a Mr Coffee....:rotfl:

Firstly, it is not too early to be planning :)

Wonderful idea about the tickets. I didn't know they were doing that show, I'm sure it'll be great.

Does he have a favorite food or drink that's hard to get that you could order? something for his motorcycle he's been wanting?

hmmmmm.... He loves Blue Bell Ice Cream and we CANNOT get it here.... His favorite potato chip is Zapps and I just ordered $40 worth crazy I know, but I am a sucker for getting he the things he loves...

I will have to think on this one...:surfweb:

Holy guacamole you AKL kids sure move fast. :surfweb:

Our Kidani trip is in May, the October trip is 2 nights at US/IOA, 5 night BCV and 3 nights VWL. We arrive on Disney property on the 12th and leave on the 20th.

Our trips almost completely overlap. The BCV are the prefect location for F&W. :thumbsup2 I'm sure we'll run into each other during that time.

We did it pre DVC and it was definitely worth it, but we paid dearly for a Savannah view room. The coffees that I had each morning would have cost me $10 per cup when we got to the GF. Not to mention the bagels, strawberries, yogurt, croissants that we enjoyed at the CL Level

:thumbsup2 I'm 100% sure we'd get our money's worth especially with 4 kids and all but one have all of a sudden gained huge appetites.

Hmmmm, this is definitely a tough one. I didn't know about the limited Savannah View and that it wasn't guaranteed until I booked for my next September trip, but I'm not going to chance changing it. The convenience of being able to get a drink or snack anytime is just too nice. I'll be taking my DB and SIL who enjoy their adult beverages, so the savings for them will be wonderful. I'll be doing a Savannah View in March, so if we end up with the pool view in September I'll be ok. Have you done a pros and cons list? If you call at exactly opening time at your 7 month window I'm sure you can get exactly what you've decided on.

I have done a list and honestly, it's sixes. I view points in terms of $10 per point for some reason. I think that's because what they generally rent for. :upsidedow Does anyone else do this?

We'd spend $100 per day in snacks/booze/and drinks in a day I'm sure however the CL does not offer the things we always get like churros. popcorn, etc...So would I still buy all that stuff in addition ot their offerings? Probably. For me, the evening and morning offerings could easily make a meal but do the offerings change? Is there enough variety to not get bored for 5 nights/days? The booze is a HUGE bonus especially if we can each take 2 beers down each ata time to the pool. The after dinner drinks are also fabby because we spent $10 a pop this last trip for cordials/wine at the Hearthstone at the GCV nightly. $50 a night adds up fast. My ramblings  boil down to the fact that we'd get our money's worth- I have no doubt. I could order less from Garden Grocer for sure. We have become 1/3 resort people and 2/3 park people. Before DVC we were 95% park and 5% resort.

So that's where the view comes in. I have zero desire for a pool view at the AKV. None. Now at SSR, it would be perfect and I'd be stoked but at AKV I'd be disappointed..... I think. :confused3 Does anyone have CL pool view photos to share? :flower3:

Last time we truly enjoyed the animals and drinking coffee on the balcony. Pure bliss.

I'm not sure about the number of dedicated 2-bedrooms on CL, the only way I found out about how many studio CL there are (5) was when I called DVC. I couldn't find it anywhere in my DVC paperwork, I could have missed it but I truly scoured everything. You could ask them, I'm sure they'd tell you.

I'm going to call MS tomorrow. Didn't even think of it. DH and I went holiday shopping all day. I fed him beer first at lunch to loosen up his wallet. :lmao:

I haven't had a tag in YEARS...Tag Fairy doesn't fly around the wedding boards :(

I think mine are 2 years old. Where does the fairy prefer to fly? I got mine on the Community Board. I remember waking up to them and I screamed with excitement. DH asked what was up and when I told him, I think he peed a little from laughing at me.

I think the TF does tend to hang around the CB..maybe she isn't a bride

maybe she isn't a SHE...LOL

There aren't any dedicated 2 BRs on CL level. There are only 5 lock-off 2 BRs. So the number of rooms is 10 total: 5 1 BRs and 5 studios.

If I were to book a Club Level Villa room, will I be in Jambo? I know Kidani is technically the "villa" half of AKL, but in all the reading I've done, I've only read about the Kilimanjaro Club which is located in Jambo.

From what I gather, CL DVC are only at Kidani. :confused3

Thank you. Honestly, before the past couple of days, AKL has never even been on my radar of places to stay, but the more I read about it and see more pictures, I'm loving it :) So I've been trying to read up as much as I can on it.

I'm in the newer phase in research but the folks on this thread are pros. I'm sure some will chime in with more concrete answers. :goodvibes

i will have some christmas pictures next week to post..I plan on taking my good camera (I say this every trip and I keep forgetting to take it!!!)

I hope to see some!!!!!

....ummmmmm, any one notice anything DIFFERENT about my tags?? :rolleyes1

Yeah! You're now shooting bacon! :lmao:

SO I bought tickets last night to The Adams Family on Broadway, for the night of his B'day...

David and I are supposed to be hiking Machu Picchu... for our birthdays but that is in May...

Maybe I can do 5 things.... Machu Picchu, Broadway, 3, 4 & 5 need to plan something...

I finished 2010 but I am about half way thru my last one.... I think I need help...

So y'all are going to NY for his 50th? That sounds cool!

Not sure if I mentioned this but we just purchased 55 more AKL points:cool1: It passed ROFR and I have the paperwork already at the closing company.

Congrats on the extra points!

Our trips almost completely overlap. The BCV are the prefect location for F&W. :thumbsup2 I'm sure we'll run into each other during that time.

Hopefully we can at least say "hi" during our trips!

I'm so sorry for your loss  I hope you'll be able to get through the holidays without too much heartache. I'm going to try and figure out how to post pictures on here next week when I get back.

I'm so glad you had a great trip! How did your girls like it?

Congratulations! That is fantastic news!!!

Good morning all :surfweb:

My girls loved the place. One of them said it gave her goose bumps when they said welcome home!

They really want to go back next year instead of going to the Smoky Mountains.

Good morning Jamborinis and Kidanites!! :goodvibes

From what I gather, CL DVC are only at Kidani. :confused3

There is no CL at Kidani. When AKL got DVC, the rooms on the 6th floor of Jambo House, the "Deluxe" CL resort rooms, were converted to CL Villas; and much of the 5th floor of Jambo was converted to DVC (non-CL) Villas -- many of those rooms had formerly been CL rooms. At that time, 4th floor rooms became the non-DVC CL rooms. Clear as mud?!!!:rotfl:

Kidani is villas only - studios, 1-bedrooms, 2-bedrooms, and Grand Villas; no CL privileges.

We are happy to answer any questions you have. Ask away! :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I have corrected my error (on the Dis Meets thread) and promise not to ever post again before finishing my morning coffee!!! ;)

I must need more coffee this morning because I don't even know what you are referring to here! :rotfl2::eek:

 seasonal vs seasonable!!!! :rotfl:

I never noticed!! I just liked your term and used it since it was appropriate. Obviously I read it as "seasonable" or I wouldn't have said it that way. :rotfl2: Show how much I really pay attention these days!
