Is it true that we are now on AKL LITE Six??!?! Yes, bah-LEE DAT!

...I see that we've got a lot of 'dancers' here lately....

no, i was there in September, but that is where I am in my TR...currently I am in Colorado Springs...

You must be feeling the cold like we are in Utah.

If those pictures didn't sway you I don't know what would. CL was absolutely, positively, definitely worth it. Both on points and cash. I'd say especially with all the hungry kids coming along with you.

I am swayed but the potential for not a fabulous view is the only drawback. I know we'd get out money's worth out of the offerings for sure.

To me, it's a breathtaking view no matter where I am at AKL!! :cloud9: (OK, I admit there are a couple rooms I wouldn't want - you pass them on the walk to the bus stop - but those are "standard view" and those aren't DVC Villas! ;))

Yes it is cold here.... I am just not used to it, and did not have a cool down period prior to getting here.

It will get cold in MD, but I normally have time to get used to it...

LOL  Glad those won't be a possibility. I'm probably dreaming anyway with only 5 CL lock-offs to choose from.

It's so cold here right now. We went from 80* in So Cal to 35* when we got back home. Today is like 27*.

I love my DVC...

Me too. :cloud9: Best vacation decision ever!

Anyone know how many dedicated CL 2 bedrooms there are or a link? :flower3:

I need some ideas... True it has nothing to do with AKL, unless I get something AKL related.... anyway,

ok just to prove that I plan too far in advance, I need some ideas for David's B'day...

Granted his b'day is March, but it is the big 5-0 for him.

I wanted to get started on this since, I am having surgery in Jan, then we have a cruise in Feb and then his b'day is March 9th....

So I really don't have that much time...

I have some ideas for gifts but I was thinking of doing something silly, like celebrate it for 5 days? by giving 5 gifts a day or something like that....

Those of you who have meet David, know that he is crazy and will be cool with anything I do...

The Club Level Savanna View isn't ideal - also isn't guaranteed. One side is pool view. The other side has a Sunset Savanna view but you don't have a view of the whole savanna, like you do at Kidani.

I agree. Both times that I have stayed club level, I have ended up with Savanna view and I don't think that the view is that great. I think that I may actually prefer the pool view for CL. (Of course, otherwise, I always stay with a savanna view)

Loved all of the pictures. I am sure missing club level tonight. :goodvibes

Hello Everyone! I have missed this thread terribly! Laura - your pictures of CL are wonderful and my mouth is watering! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! :goodvibes

Hi all...long time no talk...i often lurk here but don't post too often. let my start by saying this Christmas is going to be a rough one and i'm not really looking forward to it this year...my mom passed away in aug and i'm finding it hard to get into the spirit. But i've decided that next year we will do Christmas Disney style. Our home resort is kidani...and i just can't seem to make my self want to stay anywhere else. Sooo does anyone have any pics of the Christmas decor around kidani? Also what would you think about Christmas dinner at saana or jiko? I know it's waayyyy far in advance but i'm starting my planning now...it gives me something to look forward to and help get thru this first year without my mom.

Awesome! How long is your trip going to be? Are you requesting Kidani or Jambo?

Our Kidani trip is in May, the October trip is 2 nights at US/IOA, 5 night BCV and 3 nights VWL. We arrive on Disney property on the 12th and leave on the 20th.

Anyone here stay Club Level? Was it *worth* it? What does it include? :thanks: :worship:

We did it pre DVC and it was definitely worth it, but we paid dearly for a Savannah view room. The coffees that I had each morning would have cost me $10 per cup when we got to the GF. Not to mention the bagels, strawberries, yogurt, croissants that we enjoyed at the CL Level

I can't give you any ideas, but I would suggest rather than gifts, studies say that people our age, :rolleyes1 value experiences more so than "things". Maybe you could plan a really cool trip on your bikes that includes an overnight at a very romantic place or some kind of touristy thing that you have never done yet. I know you both enjoy dining experiences, perhaps there is something he has wanted to do that you never have before. Living with someone who buys too many things has turned me off to "stuff", I much prefer to "do things" than "get things". That's just me.

Good morning. We are back from Kidani and I have to say it was awesome. I wish we had more time just the resort. The staff was fantastic. I think this really opened our eyes to some of the benefits of DVC.

BTW, the zebra domes were awesome! :cool1:

Great suggestion, Alison! :worship: I think this is an awesome idea for you, Brandi! :thumbsup2

Maybe you could plan a "progressive" birthday experience: several days of experiences leading up to the big one on David's birthday! :woohoo:

i will have some christmas pictures next week to post..I plan on taking my good camera (I say this every trip and I keep forgetting to take it!!!)

I am so far behind on my last TR... I am still in Russia, and have not made it to WDW...but I will finish it eventually.

I keep saying I have to finish last years (2010) report...I think I'm still at BCV and my parents haven't even arrived yet! DH wants me to do one from my Oct experience but I really want to finish the old one. :rotfl:

Tip for ya: put it IN your suitcase now!!! ;)

it was actually sitting next to the suitcase in the foyer in July and I STILL walked out without it..my husband called me after I had already gotten on the turnpike to say I forgot it...but I was in DISNEY mode..so I didn't want to turn around:lmao:
