One week from today!!!

One week from today, Erin and her DH will be arriving at the Orlando Airport. They'll spent a few days at our new home and then we are off to the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We haven't seen Erin since July.

It's quiet here this evening, but hopefully more Jamborinis and Kidanites will post their thoughts over the weekend.

View: Sunset Savannah (from Kidani) would be my choice. I would also suggest 2nd floor (lobby level) to be more at eye level with the animals. My first stay I was on 5th floor and while the view was beautiful, I had to look down at the animals and they felt further away.

Bar or Lounge: Sanaa (in Kidani) has a small, but really fun bar. I prefer it to Victoria Falls in Jambo.

The pool: Both are awesome, but I think Kidani's is slightly better. Both have amazing pool bars! And of course, your family can use the amenities at both resorts.

CS: The Mara at Jambo is the only CS. Kidani's pool bar has a small food menu. It's a nice little walk between the 2 -- or you can just hop any park bus at Kidani and it will take you right to Jambo! (The DTD bus at Jambo will take you back to Kidani.)

While I love all things AKL, to me, there is no comparison between the rooms - Kidani wins hands-down.

Good Morning and Happy Saturday, Jamborinis and Kidanites!

Morning my friends, David and I are home, we got here yesterday, but it took me this long to get back on the computer...

So I found out while I was on my trip that I had to leave this Sunday, yes tomorrow for a couple of days in Colorado..... I don't feel like going to 1 foot of snow, not my favorite thing to do....

I will however get my free flight after this trip! Already planning to go somewhere fun!

I'm hoping since it's during the F&W Festival that most people will focus on the Epcot resorts at the 7 month mark and I'll be able to score at the AKV.

I have gotten into AKV, several years in a row during F&WF at the 7 month mark, I think you should be good!

Thanks so much for your reply, I will so much better. I have a feeling, that this AKL visit will be the 1st of many times we will be there, it is beautiful, next year, want to be there at christmas time.

I used to live in Colorado -- I miss it, but not the snow!!

Brandi is correct - you shouldn't have any problem at all getting AKV at 7 months out. The Values at Jambo and the Standard Views at both Jambo & Kidani are the ones that book up first (people trying to conserve points). You'll be fine!
