So I have a question for you AKV experts. Studio Value rooms have different views & there's a chance you can luck out and get a pool view or even better, an SV correct? That's what I've read elsewhere but I figured I'd ask the experts to confirm.

I have read quite a few TRs where people get upgraded. Sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't ask. It can't hurt to ask You'll get a long way with just a smile and eye contact with the CM at check-in. I'm sure it has to do with the season and how many rooms are vacant at the time.

Hi all,

Two quick things - does anyone have any photos of the studios in Kidani that show where the air vent is? I know craziness, but since I've gotten sick the last four trips at Jambo w/the vent blowing on me, DH suggested we try Kidiani. Wanted to see if the vents were in the same place.

Has anyone else heard/can confirm that Saana is now doing w QS breakfast? I read that online on another site, but haven't seen anything else about it.

Trying to figure out next Oct still...I may end up missing everyone, but we'll see. BUT - if all plans worked out, I'm going to end up having to rent DVC points since I'll be there for a couple of weeks.

Thanks! It's my birthday trip and I intend to guilt them into an upgrade somehow. Nicely of course. I also work for AAA so maybe I can pull the TA card as well...

Congrats on the teacher discount... My daughter is a teacher, can I use her discount?

Laura (RachelTori) has been told by quite a few of the staff that it will be that first weekend. I am just covering both weekends, just in case!

If your daughter comes with you and books the room in her name, you can get her discount...

We get autumn, but not like the east does. It is my favorite time of year...or as a cartoon I saw yesterday said "My favorite time of year is what ever time it is now."

Keep trying I couldn't get an upgrade until 3 weeks out and finally settled for all but my last night in cl they said to check daily and if its open we can add it. I think 1 night without cl won't kill me. Anyhow point being keep trying we started with pool view and I called everyday till I got what we have now. I've been slacking I'm sure if I call like before I'll get the last night as a matter of fact I'm going to call now lol.

The whole resort is beautiful, you will be fine.... There are a ton of viewing locations and fun to be had all over the resorts. Just relax and enjoy it will be great...

It will absolutely positively not be terrible. Evi is right, keep calling, something might open up And if all else fails and you are still in a standard view for your trip you can always go out and enjoy the viewing areas. There are actually some really lovely ones on the ground level with wonderful rocking chairs. I sat out there waiting for my laundry and the animals were so close I could see the little hairs on their faces, it was lovely.

It will be the first year we get annual passes, going to get them on the upcoming December trip, so I'm trying to make the most out of them. Two cruises, one with three nights at WDW after, and the other with one night after. Then taking the family for a week in September. Should be lots of fun.

I love to cruise and combining it with WDW makes it even better, last year we did 5 days at F&WF and then a 7 days cruise.... Great combo.

That sounds wonderful! With what everybody says about the F & W I shall have to make it down there one of these years. Timing has just never been right. I'm really hoping we'll like cruises! (I don't see how we wouldn't by what everybody says) I booked number two before going on the first one I've heard so many people get the post cruise blues, I just had to have another one in the works before we walked off the boat Have I said my self control is lacking?
