Is it true? 2016 packages on June 22?

For me, more time to pay for it. I booked our 2014 trip 9 months out. It's nice. Get that deposit in and take my time. It's how I afford it on my own with two children.

This is what my husband and I do too, its almost like creating your own payment plan :) Also, the sooner I start paying on it the less I have to worry about the Canadian dollar dropping any further.

So planning on staying at All Star Movies, does that mean I cannot book until 06/22??
For a Package? That's right.

But you can book a room-only right now over the phone. You'd put down one night's deposit at 2015 rates.

I read somewhere that starting June 22, the 2016 vacation packages will be available??
(fingers crossed!)

Yes, that is correct. You can book your room as a "room only" reservation and convert it to a package on the 22nd.

What are the benefits to booking a package a full year in advance? Truly curious.
I can think of two, and BTW I'll be booking my May 2016 trip in July or so because of this:
1) If you're not flexible, you can ensure you get the room you want.
2) If your local currency is tanking against the dollar, you can save money by paying up front and converting to USD now, rather than at a higher price later.

We are in the UK and have booked a package already for our Easter holiday (3-16 April) . Chose Saratoga Springs this year as got, what I think, is a great deal - 30% off plus free dining. Hope you all manage to get a good deal too.

Do you think they'll be releasing any discounts for the first half of the year that date? I have plans to go February 27th through March 5th. My 180 day adr window is August 31st and im hoping to have made a decision based on any discounts by then.

Thanks in advance.

Historically early year discounts (Jan - Mar) come out in October of the previous year. Discounts for Mar-June come out around the first of the year. July-Aug discounts are usually released in March of the same year.

It's probably not likely that you'll have any discount before your ADR window opens up Smbmoyers.

We will be in the same boat for our early January vacation. Our window opens in early July.

Thanks OP for putting this out there-planning an early February trip and want to get booked ASAP.

And am I right that in the next week park hours/parade & firework schedules are also coming out? Been chomping at the bit waiting for some solid info to get my January trip to take shape

Thanks for the heads up! I will just plan on booking adrs without a definite plan on discounts, etc. And go from there. It makes more sense to get as much done as I can should a discount drop. Then there'd be even less to do. My one fear is since we have flexibility in our travel dates is I'll make all my adrs for our preferred week and the discount will be applicable for the week before or week after. I'm a thrifty little thing and that would drive me insane. Is there a rule of thumb as to what discounts disney releases when and what we can expect in the way of a discount? I'm trying to keep my visit under 3k (not including the drive down and back) and would love to utilize the dinning plan (the all inclusive feel really appeals to us) I can afford this trip with no discounts at pop with the dinning And park tickets. But I'm hoping for a discount to upgrade to a moderate. Either way we should be golden but I was always taught if you can get a discount you should. :)

Thanks for this great info! We're going with another family in Nov.-Dec. 2016. Probably wont be able to book until August or so, but it's nice to see the amount we need to come up with!

I've booked a room already at POR for Feb. 2016. Does this mean my rate will be adjusted to the 2016 rack rate? I plan on calling, good plan?

Excellent. My 2016 trip is a bit up in the air but I'm still plunking down my reservation. I'll know in plenty of time to cancel if we have to.
This is my approach, too! I'm planning for October 2016, and am going to go ahead and book/deposit my package on Monday, that way I know that I have it locked-in. I am looking to change jobs ASAP after the first of the year, which may effect my ability to travel in October, but I want to know it's booked and reserved for me just in a case, while keeping in mind that I have until 45 day prior to cancel, if life necessitates such! (Hoping and praying it will all work out, though!) :cutie:
