Hi all,

My wife and I were talking about taking a trip to WDW next year Sept 18 to Sept 25 and was wondering if it is too early to start making on-site resort reservations.

What is the best way to do this? I have read other information about discounts comming out for rooms once in a while and I was wondering when does WDW usually release these.

Also, is $97 a night a good deal at Pop Century, and is it worth an extra $60 a night to stay in a moderate over a value resort.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

DC.

Definitely get started by booking what you want now. Then, if the discounts come out later you can always re-book if you want. We already have our trip booked for next year. By booking now you will get the choice of whatever room type and resort you want. We booked through WDTC. The deposit is $200, and it's totally refundable, and you can change your reservation whenever you want up to 45 days before you go. So there's really nothing to lose. One thing to remember is that the insurance is NOT refundable, so if you think you may cancel your ressie don't get it.

I have booked Sept 17-26 already. Actually I booked it about 4 months ago. I am staying at All-Star Sports and that is considered value season and they are $77 /per night and I think Pop Century is same price. Moderates in Sept are $133.

Go ahead and book it then watch for airfare and adjust dates if needed.

It's never too early to plan a vacation for next year. In fact, I'm currently planning a trip right now...albeit it's in the very early stages of it...but I'm planning. I'm looking at going late Sept or sometime early Oct. Still haven't decided. But when I do, I'll be making that call. So go ahead and plan away.

Yeah, the PC books for $77 in September, but if you have AAA can call in your reservation, you should be able to get it for $69/night.

It's never too early to start planning in my opinion...Our cruise in May has been booked since August....

I have already started planning for our Dec. 2004 trip. DH & I plan to stay at the Contemp. and move to Portofino for the end of our stay. I just booked the Port. with ENT rate. I have not booked the Contemp. yet as we have two trips to WDW to make before then. We leave in 19 days:bounce: for WL and AKL, and in Jan. we will be at POR with the family.:Pinkbounc I think DH would kill me if I booked the Contemp. before we have even made these two trips!LOL!

Welcome!! As you can see by my signature, its never too early to plan. LOL Have a great time, planning is half the fun. princess:

I agree it is never to early to start planning. I am just finishing up this trips planning and already have reservations for the WL which I may change to AKL for next Dec at the same time. I also booked through AAA and got a nice discount with a package for that period of time in 2004. Actually the rate is within a few cents of this years.

we are starting to plan our january 2005 vacation now LOL....we want to make sure we have everything planned out and know what we want to do when we start to finalize things..the first thing will be our hotel hoping for pop century or all star music, - and then on, we have a strict budget( which is going to be saved over the next 12 mths) so we sorta need to plan early so we know how much we need to put in the " kitty" each month:tongue:

I'm honeymooning from 9/13/04 until 9/23/04, and I made my reservations way back in late August, early September. It's NEVER too early! :)
