I just found a large bag of Fish Extender gifts from PCC 1.0.

Can I regift any of these on PCC 2.0?

Can we make requests???

I would want the Black cruise backpack!!!!:cool1:

This is my concern about FE gifts.
I hope they are things that can be easily consumed (food) or things that are truly useful once off the cruise.

I am thinking if you are worried if it is tacky to re-gift, then maybe the gifts were tacky in the first place? Or maybe just not to your taste?

If anything says PC cruise 1.0, then it would not be a good candidate for re-gifting. Maybe we should keep that in mind when thinking of FE gifts for this PCC 2.0. Do not give anything that screams PPC 2.0. Or anything that would look "odd" in the real, non-Disney world.
Just a thought.

Or maybe I have the wrong idea about FE gifts?

you wouldn't dare regift Canadian maple syrup. :)

My guess is that the maple syrup is gone. True?

That was the best gift we got! It was gone as soon as we got back!

All the food was gone pretty quickly. We actually thought that food was kind of a strange gift as you are on a ship where there is food available 24 hours a day. :)

We also liked the magnets we got! Dodie's was the best because Ginny loves Lightening MacQueen.

I do agree that somethings you just didn't really want. Keep in mind I have been on a lot of cruises with FEs so I am speaking from that experience, not just PCC 1.0. One time I didn't have enough of the little filler gifts that went with my FE gifts (tattoos, stickers, that sort of thing) so I regifted. One can only have so many pirate tattoos, stickers, etc., especially without any kids. One time we got custom made tattoos. Those were cool! Definitely not regiftable, but they were cool.

To be honest, I loved the black backpack, but I have sooooooooo many bags. Not to mention the ones in the closest, in my Mickey room alone I have 10 on display (including the PCC 1.0 one). I have a bookshelf with all kinds of memorabilia from past cruises - keychains, buttons, decks of cards, magnets, flashing pins, other pins, sticks, wristbands, pencils, pens.

The candy and food came home, went on another cruise in a candy dish in our room or was given to our stateroom hostess. The little liquor bottles were consumed. The maple syrup was consumed. The personalized items were saved (some with my scrapbook stuff, some in my desk - like pens, some made it to the bookshelf).

The little pirate notebooks, pencils (without cruise names on them), tatoos, stickers, etc. that made it home are in a bag for possible regifting, not necessarily on cruises but when friend's kids come over, I have stuff they can play with. I agree that if you want to regift it, there was probably something wrong with the gift in the first place.

This is the main reason that I have suggested in the past having FE groups. This allows you to pool your resources and spend the same amount of money on something more people wouldn't want to regift. I LOVED the music CDs (though I question the legality of this gift, I still loved them). I loved the magnets, some were so creative and beautiful! I loved the booklets we got on Days in Disney history. One of the most fun gifts was a poker game, but you needed at least 5 days to do that one and someone who was willing to go to everyone all five days. We got whiteboards that had the cruise logo on it and some that didn't. Loved this!

Just went through the pictures of my back to back cruises in 2008. There was a lot of pirate booty, handmade luggage tags, lip balm, personalized candy bars (put wrappers on them with cruise logos, emergency kits (with safety pins, cable ties, sewing kits, etc.), magnetic Mickey Ears for the door, postcards from hometowns, beachballs, frisbees (little ones), magic towels, post it notes (specific to the cruise and homemade holders), beads, pens and pencils, bookmarks, individual drink mixes for water bottles, patches, antibacterial gels, a flip flop drink coaster, foam things with magnets (like a palm tree or a skull & crossbones), maps or lists of where we were going (one even got stamps from all the locales and gave this late in the cruise), music CDs, DVDs, glowsticks, rubber ducks, candy, lots of it, highlighers, coffee and kleenex.

It's a deal!!!!
I want the backpack :yay:

To be honest, I don't even know where the backpack is in our house. I will look for it.

I actually got an idea last night going through this stuff. I work at a Children's Hospital, and I know that the doctor's offices always need something to hand out to the kids. I will give them the extra stuff we didn't want, and then some kids can enjoy it. :thumbsup2

This is a super great idea!!!!

I gave 60% of the gifts from PC 1.0 to my friends kids. I don't have kids so most of the stuff was not as useful for me.

There was just a tiny little bit of sharing involved in the gift you gave us Anna.
After begging i was allowed to take a very tiny bite.....
But Emiel loved it!!!!

I'm looking forward to getting started on ours....our co-ordinator came up with a great idea...I think everyone will like it.
