Is it still possible to get Oct '08 UY at AKV?

Anyone know if it's still possible to get Oct '08 UY at AKV? On a new purchase direct from Disney (not resale)? Would love to know, as this is the UY we are wanting and it may make or break our decision to purchase now.

only Jambo (AKL) villas are gone.

they are still selling Kidani - so your chances are pretty good.

Thanks for your quick reply, spiceycat. I know we can still get Oct UY, but I wanted to know if we can still get an Oct UY with '08 points...we don't want our first UY to begin Oct '09 and have to wait that long for our initial points. Sorry if I wasn't clear in my first post!

sorry but the Kidani won't be even open until May 2009 - so yes only 2009 points.

that say DVC is giving you developer points that can be used at SSR or california.

Hmmm...when I called DVC (about a month ago), they said I could get an Oct UY w/ '08 points...I just didn't know if this was still available. I think they can do Oct '08 UY because points would be good from Oct. 1, 2008 until Sept. 30, 2009...isn't that right?

We have an Oct. UY and we added on in late Aug. the points were there immediately(Oct. 08 points that will be available on Oct. 1st) for booking Kidani, but not til May 09. So we were able to book our July trip next summer.

I just bought AKV with an Oct 08 UY about a month ago. I was told by my guide that he needed to get his manager's approval for that UY, but when I went in to sign the papers it was already on there. So, if you want it, be sure to push for it.

tell them you are only buying if you can get 2008 Oct points at AKV

We purchased a couple of months ago - it was an add on so we had to have the Oct UY, but we did get '08 points since Kidani opens in May which is still within the Oct 08 UY. I guess that actually it could have been a new contract (100 pts.) and they tried to sell us the Dec UY but I insisted on Oct. The salesperson had to get approval but it took all of 15 seconds.

I think that if it is a condition of your purchase they will find the Oct. UY for you. Just ask and be very firm on the UY.

We just bought on Saturday and received Oct 08 pts for Kidani. We had actually requested September points, but our guide said that was a no go unless we wanted 09 points...
