Hi - I have a question - is it rude of me or frowned upon by the waiter/waitress to only order appetizer/or soup/salad at dinner places. I'm wondering for the following scenarios...(we are NOT on the dining plan)
My 4 year old and I plan on going to Be Our Guest one night, just the 2 of us. We are fairly picky eaters in our family and to be completely honest, nothing on the dinner menu strikes me as something I'd want to order - except the french onion soup and a salad. My daughter would probably order the steak. Is it OK for me just to order the soup/salad - I know our bill would not be very high and I know it's such a popular place to eat. I feel guilty taking up a spot for soup/salad, but my daughter really wants to eat there. (and yes, it probably has to be dinner due to scheduling time for her and I to get away together from the family)
Also, same scenario at LeCellier - my son and I will be eating there one evening together and we honestly just want the soup. Again, rude? or frowned upon?
As I type this out, I feel like it's a silly question, but I'll ask it anyway! lol
Thanks so much for any feedback....

If your server is rude, remember it's THEIR problem and not yours!
...you have just as much right to be there as anyone else and you're eating, so what difference does it make what you eat?? I do that a lot a any restaurant because I try to eat "light". I also do this a lot at WDW restaurants.
